Just don't go on a weekend, or in the middle of a sunny day!! The queues are so long with little shade. Once up its very good, marvellous views - if the day is clear of course, & efficient restaurant.

We made it to the top, spur of the moment. It was closed a few days we were there due to wind. Went midday after 1pm no lines. Fantastic views!!. Do not miss this when in CapeTown.

Highly recommended, even if you only take the aerial cableway and spend a short time at the Table Mountain. We had a wonderful experience whereby the weather changed in a second, and we were immersed in a dense fog in just about a few minutes. Views from the mountain are great, walk around a bit to look at the city... More

Worth getting tickets prior via the Red hop-on-off bus at it saves the queue at the box office. Bit of a wait to get to the top but well worth the views. Normally quite windy.

Get the cable car and go! Don't put it off as weather may change and you'll miss your chance. Wear trainers or decent walking shoes and explore. You can take a leisurely stroll around completely on the flat or you can challenge yourself as we did and go clambering up and down rocks to get to other places. So worth... More

You cannot visit Cape Town without spending at least tow days here. Hiking, surfing, kite surfing, photography, contemplation.

We hiked Table Mountain starting at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and following the Skeleton Gorge to Maclean's Beacon on The Smuts Track and had an amazing time. We took our time and stopped to take pictures along the way so it took us about 3.5 hours to get to the cable car. The trail was clearly labeled along the way with... More
