i've been walking the mountain for years, whether Kalk Bay mountain or Devil's Peak and Newlands Forest, and I'm constantly amazed at how well maintained Table mountain's various paths and hiking routes are, even in the remotest spots. Generally very safe, but for a Couple isolated spots where muggings have occurred. If you're a tourist, walk in groups on the... More

A couple of mails were enough to settle the day, joining two other solo travelers for a great hiking day on Table Mountain guided by Pietro. Although challenging with strong wind during the first hour, Pietro proposed various alternatives to fit our fitness level and once at the top of the mountain, we had the chance to have the whole... During my holiday in Cape Town I had a fantastic hike with Margaret up Skeleton Gorge. Margaret organised for me to hike with another couple who had chosen the same route and it certainly did not disappoint. The terrain is steep so a good level of fitness is necessary. The views are spectacular and we were lucky with the weather... More

it was breath taking, out of this world having both view of table mountains and the seaports with beautiful marinas. The wild capybaras were really cute and new to us, they were little stalkers following us everywhere

We chose to climb Table Mountain and then get the cable car down, rather than the cable car both ways or climbing down. We would recommend this option to anyone who is quite fit and wants to really experience Table Mountain! Margie was lovely and fun to chat to as she guided us up the Kasteelspoort route. It was much... More

My family of 6 had a spectacular hike this morning with Pietro. He was a spectacular guide - and was especially accommodating with our varying levels of ability. The hike was strenuous, but Pietro took it very slowly and stopped often so that we could catch our breath. He was extremely observant and seemed to know exactly when (and where)... More

I hiked Skeleton Gorge again with Margaret in May from Kirstenbosch for the second time. I enjoy this route as it routes past the dams and the museum on the mountain and a two hours or so later to the cable car station where one can either take the cable car down or walk down Platteklip. I chose the cable... More

I did the Platteklip Gorge hiking with Table Mountain Walks and it was a fantastic hiking tour. I think it is around 1000 of height meters, so it is also from time to time at the mountain a little challenging, but you can do it with larger kids in good shape. We did a good pace but also adequate breaks... More
