It's a shopping center with an emphasis on tourist services such as gift shops and places to eat and drink. Some nice views. But it's just a shopping center.

Thank you for posting a review Thomas V. While the V&A Waterfront includes many different shopping districts including the main shopping mall, Victoria Wharf; that’s not what we’re all about. The entire 123 hectare property is a mixed use destination which includes restaurants, a comedy club, a Food Market, museums and 22 historical sites; including being the departure point for tours to Robben Island. There’s also an Aquarium, an outdoor Amphitheatre which offers free entertainment all year through and an exhibition hall. If you’d like itinerary ideas, our staff at our Information Kiosks are more than happy to suggest a few ideas

Large mall with most of the big shopping chains you'll find in your home town...there are a couple of touristy chachka shops, mostly overpriced & with the kinds of things you'll find in your home city too... This shopping centre has free WiFi but unless you have a South African phone number tourists can't access it, which seems pointless... But there is one shop if you are looking for a unique & gorgeous present from South Africa - Presidential Shirts (on the 1st floor near Woolworths) for quality Mabida style shirts, loved this place!…

Nice place for shopping, snacking but most of all shade on a hot Cape Town day. Good selection of stores, plenty of places to eat and it’s blessedly cool. Pleasant modern vibe, a fun place to visit when you’re at the Waterfront.

I am, perhaps, among the last of the shopping objectors! I HATE shopping, but it is a necessary evil! That said, I must commend my wife, who never gives up on attempting to get me into shops to buy (what I often deem to be unnecessary) items of clothing! I last purchased an anorak… reversible, in 2001, in Bridlington, England. It was beige on one side and blue on the other! Reversible! She said that as I had put on quite a number of pounds since I had bought it, I needed a larger one that made me look less like a dressed Christmas Turkey, and more like a better-dressed man! She found one! Pringles of Scotland had opened one of their shops in the Victoria Wharf Shopping Centre! Not only that, but in Blue and a mustard yellow! Would I meet her at the shop? I had been a rotten husband saying that it must be this size, this design, this kind of zipper, etc, to put her off! Yes… yes… yes… she exclaimed, "Everything you said you wanted!!!" I cursed! She had to arrange to get me on the road, and to find parking (I cannot walk far!) To cut a long story short, she, with a girl from the store met me, they both climbed in the car, led me to a special parking place, held my hand and dragged me into the shop… and there, on a coat hanger was the anorak of my description!!! I could not refuse! (I did not really WANT to refuse! I actually liked it! I bought it and some golf shirts and something else, too! The staff were really VERY accommodating, friendly, helpful and appreciated good humour! If you like quality, and designs that stand the test of time and have reasonable prices for the quality of merchandise, then visit Pringles of Scotland in Cape Town (or anywhere-else for that matter)… they are well worth the trip! I am still happy that I was their customer! In fact, a client of mine very recently remarked, upon seeing the Pringles logo on my anorak, that I had very good taste and that he really liked the anorak! I am also a snob!!!! :)…
