Garden route is an amazing road trip that takes you through the heart of South Africa from Cape Town till the town of Knysna. It passes mountainous valleys, nice lush green canola fields, amazing beach towns and has water/sea almost for half the way.

I drove the Garden Route in a hire car from Cape Town to East London, stopping at Hermanus, Wilderness, Knysna, Plettenberg, Keurboomstrand, Addo and East London over 10 days, absolutely fantastic. Will be driving it again with different stops along the way.

Beautiful landscapes and activities to choose all the way down from Port Elizabeth to Cape Town. Totally worth it if you have enough time in South Africa. I would say that Tsitsikama National Park and Jeffrey's Bay where the highlights for me.
