The Valley of Waves is the central feature of the Lost City at Sun City. It is one of the most advanced water parks in the world, dominated by the Roaring Lagoon. When waves are not generated, a bobbing cycle is generated in a diamond pattern.  All Resort residents enter the park free of charge by presenting their resident cards. 2 amazing days in the sun. water was fantastic. love the beach effect. just wait a bit too long for the waves. enjoyed the lazy river where you just cruise along a tube around the resort.

Hadn't been to Sun City for years so there were big changes all around. The Sunday we arrived the Valley was packed which wasn't nice at all, there was barely space to swim and the beach area was jampacked. The weekdays were much better and the afternoons from 3/4pm were awesome when there were only a few people left. The... More

Note to travellers, avoid weekends if possible. The big water slides are really good (particularly the trap door one next to Boomerang) but in the weekend we waited over 50mins for each of those. We were staying at The Palace so walked down at 10am for open on Sunday morning and still waited 30mins for the Boomerang. Food options are... More

Seems the Valley of the Waves have been recently upgraded. New slides have been added and the restaurants have been changed as well. Everything is clean and neat and there are lots of small kiosks selling drinks and ice cream. This is still a great place to have fun in the sun!

Be prepared for a day of fun. There are lockers and towels that can be hired, and food and drinks are in plentiful supply, all at a price. For the active there are a multitude of activities but for the more sedate the ever popular lazy river is awesome to while away an hour or two on a comfortable tube.... More

The Valley of the Waves at Sun City is still a very fun place with a great activity being offered by way of the wave making machine. The water is crystal clear but as is normally the case with very big pools, leaf and frog catching needs to be continuously kept at peak performance.
