We went driving around looking for the animals. We actually got to see alot of them. The kids loved it. It is a fun outing for the whole family.

I am never let down by the game viewing at Pilanesberg. The animals practically walked into the road! The dirt roads are accessible even for my small car.

We had three safaris in this park and managed to see the big five and more, simply stunning ! The highlight was watching cheetahs chasing a zebra and catching it, simply terrifyingly but that's nature visually stunning but so cruel..

Once the best short visit with a chance to see the big five only some 2 hours drive from Johannesburg, it has fallen into dilapidation under the North West Province administration. Roads are potholed, toilets at Mankwe dam don't flush. Very sad to see this...More

We visited with our kids and friends with kids the Park. We bought the booklet and tried to spot as many animals as possible. The kids enjoyed it and we all had a good time spotting elephants, lions, giraffes etc. Such a beautiful park with...More

You can book a drive to Pilanesberg NP from any hotel in Suncity (2h30). Prefer the morning drive (even if it requires early wake up) as the evening has a significant part in the night where you can't take pictures and animals are difficult to...More

What can I say. This was simply awesome! We initially wanted to do a self-drive safari here but later thought against it and went with a hired car and driver. Self-drive would have been fun but then one of us would always be behind the...More

The recent substantial rains have had a lot of impact on the roads and many of the dirt roads would be challenging to navigate if you're not in a 4x4. The park is busy; too busy really with large traffic jams at major sightings. Still,...More

The difference is in the park name I think. A nature reserve is generally an area protected for fauna & vegetation with a few wild animals where can walk around, picnic etc. A game reserve is wild animals untamed by man... More

Hi, you can get a game tour from suncity. It leaves at 5am and is amazing! Dress in layers though it is freezing in a safari vehicle that early (they provide blankets but still cold)!
