Within the Skukusa Rest Camp is a fair sized shop where you can purchase drinks, snacks and other foods for cooking and consumption for those staying at Skukusa. It is considerably larger than the shop we found at Lower Sabie Rest Camp.

Food selection is surprisingly wide with fair variety. However, if you are staying for extended time and wanting to cook/braai numerous meals than you'll still do better to stock up at proper supermarkets before entering the park.

This is also a gift shop with a wide range of souvenirs and locally made gifts you can purchase to remember your trip to Kruger.

The shop was clean and staff were friendly. No complaints and operates like a standard combo of curio shop and small superette

Terrible experience. A warning to all customers of this store. I had a nasty experience today of the cahsier double charging me for an item while I only purchased 1 of the items. I am sure this must be happening very regular and we went ahead and paid not checking the receipt. As we were reaching lower sabi we checked on the slip and saw that we have been over charged. We went to the lower sabi store and met the manger there who right away called the skukuza store and spoke to them. The lady there said the manager is off however Lower Sabi Manager told the lady the his house is just few meters away from the store so he can quickly come and check on the cctv footage so that by the time we reach the crocodile bridge store our matter has been resolved. From the time we reported the matter a window of 3 hours approx was available for the manager to check however due to reasons known to him only he never bothered to check and nothing positive was concluded. We are tourists from zambia and leaving kruger area tomorrow with a very bitter experience at this store. Never again shall we visit this store or park and we shall equally advise our friends and family to stay away from shopping at this store. Any one from the store wants to contact me feel free via WhatsApp on +26 0965 855 351 or via email Adamshahid77@gmail.com. feel free to contact me to ask for the receipt copy which is already with you from Manager of Lower Sabi Store but incase u still need it I'll send you

Exactly what was described in a previous review happened to us.
We made purchases for 130 euros and, unfortunately without checking, they charged 260 euros....it is now clear that it was done maliciously.
The managers did not reply to our email or messages (whatsapp and messenger).... they must be reported.
Be very careful indeed.

This shop offers a wide range of interesting and mementos and products. My daughter had a nasty insect bite which was swelling & stinging and we consulted staff at the shop who offerred us a quite unique probiotic bulbmella cream that not only resolved the bite issue within hours but has worked wonders with psoriasis on my hand. The shop assistant advised that Chinese visitors has bought their whole supply and they had only just restocked. That advice was invaluable and one would not expect a simple Park shop to stock such excellent pharmaceutical products. We will certainly be back for more.

We visited back in 2017
The Skukuza shop quality went down on so many levels.

Limited items, not more delicious salads
No more extended range of camera accessories

Pity ...

Great shop for basics and curios. Just a bit expensive. Nice and clean with a good selection of all the stuff that is needed.
