This estuary is part of the Greater St. Lucia Wetland Park and includes fishing, hiking tours, boat tours and a crocodile center. The crocodiles make swimming an ill-advised idea.

I accompanied 16 high school students (and 2 teachers) from St. Louis, MO to South Africa in June/July 2017. On one of the memorable days we spent in St. Lucia, we took a late afternoon cruise in the Estuary...The wildlife seen from the water was...More

We recently visited the area , its beautiful and serene , lots of indigenous trees , lots of birds and a great walkway along the mangroves to the beach, now and again we spotted hippo's and an odd crocodile .

Although the area is clearly geared around tourism the beaches and wetlands are unspoiled and clean. Well maintained with lovely picnic areas and drives.

There are a number of ways to experience the estuary. Going down to Sunset Jetty or walking across the boardwalk are free - and well worth it. You can also walk along the bridge into St Lucia. There's a good chance you'll see hippos, crocs...More

Saint Lucia is a Island in KwaZulu Natal, about 30km from Richards Bay. Its a tourist attraction, you can there for your honeymoon or anniversary. There are Safari game drives, and its a place where most of our Leopards reside.

We went on the River boat cruise and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. You are guaranteed to see Hippos and crocodiles and some stunning birdlife. The sunset over the estuary was also amazing. A must do if you are in St Lucia

A boat trip on the estuary to see hippos, crocs and birds is a must. I have done this more than once and would do it on each visit.

Most passengers book through the boat trip company and they come and fetch you from your B and B or hotel, so most people did not take a car and park it. From what I recall, there was a parking area with some cars parked in... More
