We had a 16:00 cruise on the river. Despite it being a hot day, was bloody freezing due to the wind - make sure you take a coat even if it’s hot

We saw plenty of hippos which was great. There are about 3-4 main groups around

Unfortunately only saw 1 croc and they’re more likely to be seen when it’s colder

The guide was nice but people weren’t paying too much attention to him due to the hippos

We went on the 4.30pm tour which stayed out until the sun was coming down and it was absolutely stunning! We seen so many hippos (including babies) and crocs it was unreal, they are absolutely fascinating to watch and the boat is such an enjoyable experience. Lovely staff and refreshments on board so you can get juice and sweets etc for the kids. Very reasonably priced and well worth the money.

Booked the late afternoon 4-6 hippo tour right before leaving St. Lucia. We liked that the boat was not packed and that everyone on board was able to have a good view of the hiipos. Guide was friendly and tour was very informative! We had saw a hippo in town eating grass in someones yard the night before and wondered why the hippo knocked down the fence in order to get that THAT grass in particular and learned on the tour that the grass in sweeter ;) I guess if all I ate was grass, I would go for the sweeter stuff too!

Saw quite a few hippo pods on the tour and only two crocs (due to the cold weather that day) and a few birds. Good value for money, would recommend when in St Lucia!

A great cruise where you get very close to the hippos and the other wildlife in the St Lucia Estuary. Shoreline operates relatively small boats compared to other operators in the area which means you can get very close to the action. Our guide was very informative and professional with a true passion for hippos and photography. I recommend the late afternoon tour when the hippos start to wake up from their sleep.

What a highlight this was for our trip!! A magical experience that we will always treasure! best time is the last cruise of the day. 3.15pm. Beautiful sunset!!!! Excellent tour guide. Very spacious boat with social distancing. Highly recommended! Loads of sightings, hippos, crocodiles, and birds.

Great tour on the lake. Our guide - Brown - was very helpful and informative.
We have seen hippos, crocodile, many birds and we learned about mangrove as well.
The tour is about 2-2.5 hours, and the boat stops by the hippo families. Very interactive trip, and our guide explaned everything - not just hippos but birds, trees, ecosystem, etc..
Very good afternoon fun, highly recommended!

We went on a boat tour with Shoreline Hippo and Croc Cruises and it was awesome! The booking itself went smoothly and our guide / captain on the boat was funny and capable. His knowledge of the animals living in the waters and on shore was massive and he could tell some great stories. We saw many many hippo's and the guide gave us plenty of time to watch the animals up close and personal. We also saw a crocodile sunbathing on shore and we saw how the little yellow weavers build their nests which was incredible. They are so fast and so smart in the way they build their nests. Loved watching that. The boat tour itself was beautiful because we took the sunset tour and seeing the sun sinking into the ocean, colouring the skies in orange, yellow, pink, purple and blue was amazing. Absolutely a must do while in St. Lucia.

This is surely the best way to explore the river and find hippo and Crocs. The boat is smaller than the rest with a personal guide that explains everything. Because it's so small you get really close. Our guide was determined to show us the yawns and we have seen a lot!

Was happy with the tour. It was a chilly day so the hippos only showed us their heads. This wasn’t in their control. The guide was knowledgeable about the hippos. The restrooms waiting for the boat were not maintained well.
