Themba is incredibly knowledgeable about birds - and everything else in the local area (if I had had time, I would have gone kayaking with him as well), he is a real "eco warrior" in the best possible sense, passionate about wildlife and eager to share his knowledge, but in a low-key and accessible way. During our 3.5-hour walk we... More

Themba took me to 3 different locations in St Lucia to see different bird types. His in-depth knowledge, and ability to imitate bird calls made it a fascinating couple of hours. I particularly liked the area between the sea and lake where we saw large waterbirds like flamingos and yellow-beaked storks and pelicans, as well as a range of beautiful... More

Thank you, Themba, for a most insightful and exciting morning of birding! Not only did Themba find most of the specials we were after, he drove us in his own car to Cape Vidal! Definitely a must do for all birders!

A group of us did a Wetlands birding tour with Themba. His knowledge of birds was excellent and his imitation of bird calls was amazing. He was informative about the overall eco system and his knowledge on the flora and fauna was great. We live in KZN and will certainly use Themba as a guide in the future.

I am not an experienced birder but we were with people who were and all of us had a great morning out with Themba. He changed our booking at short notice so that we could take advantage of better weather. He was fun, energetic and informative and I added many lifers to my list. Highly recommended.

During a very brief stay in St Lucia, I was keen to get out and see the birding highlights of the area. Themba came highly recommended as a guide, and he lived up to this reputation in every way. It came as no surprise to hear later that Themba had been nominated best bird guide in South Africa 2015. He... More

We identified Themba in our search for an expert birding guide prior to our visit to Kwazulu Natal, and particularly the St. Lucia (Isimilansigo Wetlands) region. We had extensive email communication with Themba prior to our trip and found him to be very responsive and prompt, interested in our interests and background. We spent a truly amazing full day with... More
