We visited the Blyde river for 3 days on our way to Kruger park. Over 2 days we hiked/trail ran the leopard, guinea fowl and loerie trails. Spectacular views, lovely spots to picnic in and we even braved a swim in the chilly winter water....More

This hike crosses many streams and a waterfall. Beautiful terrain with lush greenery all around. Amazing natural pools to swim in along the way, and breathtaking views of the Three Rondavels.

This place is very beautiful in pictures and being close to it is just breath taking. With the Three Rondavels so perfectly close to this a must see place.

The walk was an easy hike through the forest and was enjoyable... similar to walking through the Northern Ontario Canadian bush (sans the mosquitos and black flies :)) Lovely little waterfall at the end of it. Comfortable, nice bit of exercise.

We stayed at the Mount Sheba Hotel (1970's flashback, thatch duplex accommodation with coal fire made for you in the evenings; set menu in the dimly lit restaurant; workmanlike and tasty breakfast buffet) and travelled to various Blyde River viewpoints such as the Three Rondavels;...More
