Chimp Eden is a must for all animal lovers! Especially people, who know why the chimps are here, in Nelspruit. All of them have been abused, in one way or another. By visiting them, you would be funding their food, and Vet bills, and for the kind humans, who have given themselves to take care, of these wonderful Primates. Go,... More

The lady on reception was extremely welcoming and helpful, and our guide was knowledgeable and informative. These people do tremendous work with these animals and it's such a pity that human nature can be so cruel to animals. Hopefully the funding will continue to allow such organisations to rescue these animals into the future.

Africa is full of beautiful wild animals yet we here you can see the impact of how humans have treated their closest relative in the animal world - chimpanzees. The 30 Chimps in Chimp Eden have been rescued from misstatement and abuse by humans at various locations in Africa. This not for profit organisation, staffed largely by volunteers, is their... More

This is a wonderful place to visit. By visiting and paying the entry fee you are helping to house and feed chimpanzees that have been rescued from horrible situations. The tour guides are informative and the chimpanzees always willing to perform as they have never forgotten the situation they were rescued from. What a blessing!

Well worth a visit. most of the chimps have had very harrowing experiences. Sanctuary is on top of a hill in beautiful Nelspruit granite rock and indigenous trees area. Very attractive setting There are 3 camps with 15 chimps in 5 hectares each camp. They have trees and mixed bush area so unless they are called you dont see them.... More

The sanctuary is well run and worth the visit. The tour takes just over an hour and you get a good exposure to the chimps and you get a lot of info about chimps in general. The staff are friendly and the guide is excellent. The visit is R185 per person, so it is not cheap.

A well worth cause for rescued chimps who have suffered from human cruelty. Most showing signs of distress but now safe and cared for.

Heartbraking stories of chimps, that all have names and each one of them have their own unique story what has happened to them. Finally they get to be in peace and not being entertaining, hold in robes to entertain people or make money in photos or what ever silly ideas people get. It teaches that not every animal is a...
