We spent 2 weeks self driving, staying in the park at rest camps. We flew to Skukuza this time which meant we had an extra day in the park. It is a bit crowded with tour vehicles round here but it gets quieter as you go north and further into the park. People come in for the tours from outside... More

In the Zoo you might think it's better to view wild animals at a close range and still be safe from their wildness and viciousness but you ain't experienced anything of the wild animals until you visit the Kruger National Park where you have a chance of viewing them from afar or near whilst in the safety of your car... Best time to visit is September/October - little grass cover, trees yet to get new leaves, trees beginning to flower, no water in the bush so animals come to main rivers and water holes. Avoid school and public holidays - Easter and Christmas in particular, as there is far too much traffic. Southern section has greater diversity of flora and... More

My hubby and I spent a week in the park. We go whenever we can. We had lots of rain that was desperately needed. The park was busy and we saw such a lot of animals. Lion, Wild dog, Hyena, Leopard, Rhino, Cheetah etc. Birds are abundant in the park as well. We had such an amazing time that we... More

I love the Kruger Park at all times of the year, but especially in late november and early december when the first rains have fallen, the grass is green and the baby impala, wildebeest and zebra are dropping. Always good sightings, always a treat, amazing bird and wildlife, can drive yourself or take guided drives which can be done after... More

The Kruger National Park is one of the world's most spectacular wilderness areas, a vast and untamed game reserve that offers new and exciting adventures each and every day. The key is to plan your visit such that you maximise your game viewing opportunities, in summer months getting out at first light is a must if you hope to catch... More

The Kruger is one of those places which cannot be described in words- if going to South Africa try and find time to spend at least three nights, such that you can unwind and experience the real bush
