8 of us were welcomed and transported to our camp by our guides in a game viewer vehicle....excited and a little apprehensive we travelled for about half an hour to our camp in the middle of nowhere..What a wonderful surprise to find this neatly hidden spot ... small camp with 4 A frame huts with 2 bunks, quality linen and... 1st time on this trail having done 10 previous trails in KNP. Rangani goes about his business in a quiet but thoroughly professional manner and was ably assisted by Shaun. The camp is in good condition and the food was good. The waterhole at the camp also provided some great close views of game. The area is very different to... More

In and around Kruger you have the opportunity to live in luxury and view tons of game close up from your car. Instead you could choose to go on a wilderness trail, see less animals and when you see it, see it from further away. If this does not scare you away, you would like to live in a camp... More

December and apparently the end of the season, there was one more trail after ours before they stop for a month. We have done 3 wilderness trails before and we can't recommend them highly enough as a chance to slowly take in the beauty of Kruger. This time it had a bit of an odd feel to it as there... More

My guests went on this wilderness trial and loved the experience. The Game Rangers are excellent at what they do and as hosts, they were very good. This is a real bush experience so make sure you get the list from San Parks on what to take on the trial. What a way to meet Africa.

We spent three nights on the Wolhuter Wilderness Trail in June, 2015. Our guides Rangani and Moses were very professional and knowledgeable as well as being a pleasure to be around. Our group had an amazing time on the trail and we would definitely go back. The highlight of the Wolhuter Trail is definitely the camp waterhole which is less... More

We hiked the Wohuter trail with friends. the group ranged in age from 40 through 68 years in age. The guides, Rangani and Jacob, made this an unforgetable experience by sharing their knowledge with the group. The hikes were not that difficult and everyone kept up with the pace.

This was our first walking trail in the wild. We enjoyed it immensely! Our guides were professional, informative and entertaining. The walking trail was fun, beautiful and not too exhausting and we saw lots of animals up close or in the distance. The accommodation and ablution facilities were basic but clean. The meals were homely and delicious. We will definitely... More

We were a group of 8 friends. All agreed that this was a fantastic experience. The rangers and cook all deserve praise. It is important that you make your preferences very clear to the rangers on the first night: do you want to spend most of your time doing long walks or would you prefer a balance between walking and...
