    Excellent Wild Wings Safari
We had an absolute blast for our South Africa trip starting from Cape Town for 5 nights, followed by Kruger Safari for 3 nights and then Johannesburg for 3 nights. Wild Wings took care of everything. There were some problems along the way but they took care of it in no time. Clare was always ready to answer questions and was there to take care of any problems we encountered. I will recommend Wild Wings Safari to anyone who wishes to visit South Africa to spend some fantastic time.

Best safari experience with Wild Wings safari
We had the best time of our life and this is the first holiday we felt sad that it was finishing. We got used to safari every day, waking up in the morning to go for game drives and spot animals. We covered a lot in 5 days and Simon our guide made sure that we see all the big five and we surely did. There were so many memories but the best one would be to see 21 Lions. And see some lion cubs playing and some of the lions taking a dip in the reservoir. One of the other memorable moments is capturing Leopard walking toward our safari Jeep on the first day. We have been quite lucky, I think it’s fair to say I can write 5-10 pages about experience 🤣.

Chobe National Park planned by Wild Wings was perfect.
We had a really good experience with Wild Wings. Michael was our tour coordinator. We contacted Wild Wings via email and the communication was prompt and detailed as we corresponded about what we were looking for. Initial communication is so important in gaining our trust and Michael did just that. We had planned other portions of our time in Africa and just wanted to fill in a few days at Chobe. Our itinerary included: pickup at our Victoria Falls hotel, assistance crossing into Botswana, hotel for 2 nights, 2 sunset river safaris and 2 morning safari drives, meals to be included and then transport back across the border and drop off at the VF airport. Everything went just as planned. Very grateful to Wild Wings for the smooth execution of our plans. As it turns out, this was our favorite thing we did in our travels. The evening safaris on the river were fabulous! Thank you Wild Wings.

    Professional service, thoughtful itinerary!
Our trip went smoothly following an excellent itinerary, staying at three different safari camps in Northern Zimbabwe, close to the Zambezi River. We stayed at first class hotels and safari camps all the way, and never missed a connection. We enjoyed safe but adventurous safari experiences, and were treated like royalty at every camp site. We brought back memories that our family will cherish forever.

Brilliant service and Outstanding Holiday ⭐️
We had an absolutely incredible holiday experience with Wild Wings Safari! Our journey began with the beautiful accommodation in Victoria Falls Safari Lodge Zimbabwe, where the staff were very kind and helpful. Our room looked over the beautiful scenery and animals at the watering hole. We had a wonderful evening on the Zambezi sunset cruise seeing sunset on the river was stunning. The following day seeing the breathtaking views of Victoria Falls was certainly a life highlight. Our travels continued as we embarked on a full Safari adventure in Kruger National Park, and thanks to our outstanding guide Rufus, we were able to spot the Big 5. Rufus's knowledge and expertise truly enhanced our Safari experience. What sets Wild Wings Safari apart is their impeccable support throughout every aspect of our journey. From the careful planning and coordination before our trip to the seamless logistics during and even after, they left no stone unturned. Their dedication to ensuring our holiday was smooth and unforgettable truly shines through. We wholeheartedly recommend Wild Wings Safari to anyone seeking an unforgettable and well-supported adventure. Their commitment to excellence and personalized service make them a standout choice. We would not hesitate to choose them for our future travel plans.

    Incredible experience
We had an absolutely incredible experience on our Wild Wings Safari. Michael was so helpful and kind when our flight was delayed and we landed in South Africa 24hrs later than expected. He was in constant contact with us and arranged a last minute transfer to ensure we got to Kruger on the same day as planned. Our safari guide (Simon) was so knowledgeable about the animals and the area, and his passion for the wildlife really helped make our trip as wonderful as it could be. His cooking is great too! He made us meals every night and hot and cold breakfast options every morning. We had an amazing time and cannot recommend Wild Wings enough.

    A perfect Zimbabwe safari
Wild Wings did a great job organising our 10 day / 9 night Zimbabwe tour covering Hwange NP, Matusadona NP and Mana Pools NP. Our agent Clare was informative and helpful, and always at had to answer any questions and assist us. The tour itself is a great overview of Zimbabwe covering 3 different national parks. The camps were fantastic and all the logistics from charter flights and transfers were handled smoothly. Will recommend Wild Wings to anyone and will definitely get in touch with them for future trips to the region.

    Great Wild Wings safari
We are just back from a 5 day safari in Kruger Park with Wild Wings and can’t stop looking to the many pictures we took. It was an amazing experience! Simon, our guide told us entering the park: “your holiday is over now, you are in a safari” 😊 No time was actually wasted and we spent most of the day looking for wildlife to admire. We spotted rare animals like a white lion and the rhinoceros (now much lesser than before Covid in the park ☹). The morning walk in the bush was very interesting as well as the night drive. Needless to say, Simon was a top animal spotter, but he was also very instructive on wildlife and the Kruger in particular. Last but not least, a great chef. We really enjoyed his cooking. I can’t avoid to mention that the assistance from office was great and the booking procedure easy and smooth – thank you Ilaria for your support!

Great time on 5 day tour
We booked our entire safari trip through Wild Wings and were completely satisfied with the quality, professionalism and overall experience. Mike Malan of Wild Wings crafted a well balanced itinerary that included the Wild Wings 5 day Kruger visit along with other destinations we wanted to see (Sabi Sands, Victoria Falls and Chobe River). Mike took our input, made suggestions and we settled on a trip that had lots of diverse settings and locations. Communiction was always prompt and efficient and even though we had to delay our trip a couple times (Covid shutdowns), Mike was there to rebook, work with the lodges and keep us informed. During our Kruger stay, Rufus was our Wild Wings guide, chef, tracker, friend and all around great guy. He was phenomenal at spotting wildlife and identifying birds/animals. If you think you can spot animals in the bush like he can, you're kidding yourself, it was unreal. We enjoyed the company of other guests and it made for fun game viewing and dinners by our Kruger cottages. When the next phase of our safari started, Mike arranged all ground transfers and logistics to get us from one camp to the next. We arranged flights but there was always a transfer waiting for us when we arrived at the next destination. Wild Wings and their entire team gave us peace of mind and allowed us to enjoy our safari wonders and the amazing people of South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.

    Winning Big at Kruger
We did the 5D Best of Kruger Safari tour. The first half of the safari was centered around Skukuza (Southern Kruger) and the other half was around Satara (Central Kruger). Accommodation was basic but adequate and clean. Traveling from Skukuza to Satara we got a sense of the size of the park and given the fact that the animals were wild, you never know what you will see, like participating in a game of chance. Our guide Rufus worked hard to try to meet our expectations and after that to cook really delicious meals for us. His hard work, knowledge of the area and experience definitely tipped the scales in our favor. We had many sightings with a number of sightings that were really special. These included lions chasing away hyenas, feeding and guarding their kill, a hunt in progress and cheetahs. To see a cheetah here is rare. To see a cheetah and her cubs - that is precious! So if the safari was like a game of chance, we felt like we won it big at Kruger! Thanks Rufus and Wild Wings Safaris.

Wow wow wow ! Our 5 day/4night safari , the best of Kruger experience was beyond our wildest dreams . The animals were amazing, we saw 2 cheetahs kill a large impala, a pride of lions feeding at a buffalo kill, numerous herds of elephants, leopards, all the big 5 in one day giraffes fighting, crocodiles, jackals , impala, lots of different antelope, hippos ,hyenas, tortoises and so much more . The night drive and bush walk were great too .At times it felt like being on the set of a National Geographic documentary. Simon, South Africa’s “ Crocodile Dundee” was amazing and so knowledgeable on the animals but also the huge variety of birds within the park. He made the trip so special with his sense of humour too. The accommodation at both the camps was lovely and John the chef who cooked for us was first rate, giving wonderful descriptions of food he’d prepared for us. It really was a trip of memories that will live with my husband and myself forever. Thankyou so much Simon and the team for such a great trip !

Words cannot express how grateful I am for Madi at Wild Wings Safari. I did a lot of research with different companies and prices and wild wings was the best and most flexible. Madi was so patient with me (I'm a pretty indecisive and detail oriented person) and in the end we came up with the perfect plan. And then unforeseen problems arose and we had to cancel our trip. However, everything aligned last minute and Madi was able to make our trip come true again and rebooked everything about a month away! She was so calm and patient and comforting through the whole planning process. It was stressful canceling and rebooking but she never made me feel rushed or forced. Also, I loved all of her recommendations for specific price points. We were able to see the Big 5 in 5 days of being there. It was a quick trip and were able to do Nthambo tree camp (unique experience) and Arathusa (Out of this world 1st class experience). Even our transport guides between airport and lodges were amazing. Do not hesitate to book with Madi at Wild Wings Safari (you can tell she loves her job and wants to create a memorable experience for you). I do recommend getting travel insurance too just in case unforeseen things happen.

Wild Wings is an amazing tour company who gave us the trip of a lifetime. We did a 6 night custom safari with the add on bush walk, night drive, abs panorama tour on the drive back to Jo’burg.
Kruger National Park is every bit of a dream African safari. We stayed in three park campsites: Skukuza, Satara, and Berg-en-Dahl. Pictures cannot truly show the splendor of the savannah. Long drive days in the open air truck revealed herds of elephant, giraffe, Cape buffalo, zebra, and wildebeest. We drove for 15 minutes next to a pride of 11 lions walking up and down the road. A mother elephant flexed on us as we drove too close to her baby. We witnessed two full mane male lions eating a Cape buffalo and a leopard in a tree devouring the impala he killed and carried to the fall branches to avoid scavengers. We saw him carry the impala down the tree clenched in his jaw to move from the hyenas below the tree. A mother and baby rhino walked directly across our path feet from us.
Watering holes full bathing, yawning, and snorting hippos; shorelines covered in dozens of crocodiles; herds of sable antelope, kudu, and impala. Pod after pod of playful and curious chacma baboons and vervet monkeys. And oh, the wart hogs that got Hakuna Matata stuck in my head over and over. And I haven’t even mentioned the mongoose, hornbills, fish eagles, ostrich, vulture and more. So much more.
The perfect trip ended gloriously with a panorama drive through the Drakkensberg Mountains and Blyde Canyon River. This add-on showed us SA splendor that we didn’t know existed.
Thank you Clare at Wild Wings Safari for all of the emails coordinating this trip. And a huge thank you to our Barefoot guide, Simon for his expertise, driving skills, and amazing cooking. We couldn’t have asked for a more special, personalized experience.
We traveled with some serious Covid lockdowns in place in the country. Everything was still perfect.

If you are looking to go on a safari in South Africa, you would regret NOT going with Wild Wings.

The booking process was seamless, tailored to individual needs and well organised.
The information provided at the time of booking was spot on.
Constant communication from the day of enquiring up until the day we were picked up in Johannesburg.

The safari is perfect for the those on a budget and also has options to upgrade if that’s what you wish.
We did not upgrade and the hospitality and experience was second to none.

Simon the guide - where do I start…
He has previously trained other safari guides and his knowledge is clear from the moment you meet him.

I am sure after the trip it must have felt like an interrogation from me. I asked non stop questions to which all were answered and explained in depth with a good sense of humour added.

We booked the 5 day Kruger trip and could have stayed on for another week.

Simon went above and beyond with tracking and finding animals such as the cheetah and rhino. Both of which are lightly spread throughout out the park.
Although he has been guiding for 20+ years, his excitement for every sighting was clear for all to see.

Our drives were usually 5am - 9am, then breakfast then back out at 11am-6pm.
Everyone decided if they wanted to go out for that long with some opting to go for a later drive in the day when the temperatures dropped.
Simon was happy to accommodate for all.

The trip was filled with humour, insightful knowledge on the natural world and good moral throughout.

I have recommended to friends and family whilst currently planning my return trip.
Two members of our party were on their 8th Safari in Kruger with Wild wings!!!

We saw Wild dogs, Leopards, Cheetah, Elephants, Hyenas and their pups, White Rhino, Hippo’s,Buffalo, Wildebeest, Zebra and Lions (including the White male Casper!!)
This was aswell as numerous birds and antelope.

Any safari in Southern Africa will now always be booked through Wild Wings.

We were a family of 5 and did a 3 nights/4 days Safari, in day 3 we went to the Panorama route. The experience was so much above our expectations that it is hard to find words to describe it. Frank was our guide, and we feel so lucky we had the privilege of being his guests for this trip. He is such a welcoming man, so nice, an amazing guide and a very experienced one. We learned so much from him and enjoyed hearing his stories, kept asking for more. Each game drive we took was exciting and he definitely had a big part in that. Doug, also so welcoming and nice cooked for us the best meals taking in consideration our dietary requirement (vegetarian gluten free) and we enjoyed his food and his company so much.
Jerald took us to a lovely day at the Panaroma route and he too was so welcoming and nice.
The entire safari was so well organized, our transports were on time in comfortable vehicles and welcoming drivers.
We highly recommend on wild wing safaris and we can't wait to be back…

From start to finish, the trip was insane, from the get go there were no issues arranging the perfect dates, the length of the stay or choices of accommodation. Ilaria and I spent far more than most would deem necessary emailing back and forth making sure absolutely everything was perfect. From the moment I landed in Kenya I was greeted at the airport by the team and from then on, totally hands off on my part, everything was thought through by them. Once we arrived into the Mara it just kept getting better. James my guide was one of the most knowledgeable and thorough guides I've met while being super chilled out and great fun to be around, to the point I can't think of anyone I'd want more for my next guide, he also had an interest in photography so we spent time between drives going over each others photos to see what we each managed to capture! He knew exactly the best spots to go and how to get there as well as the ideal times to leave the camps and hotels to make sure we'd be one of the first out there for sunrise and being the first out there to see the wildlife on the morning hunts. I genuinely cannot rate this trip highly enough and will be planning another visit as soon as I can.

I had the most incredible 5 day safari just before Christmas. It was my first time in South Africa and first time doing a safari. The trip was even better than I could have ever imagined. The information and service from my very first inquiry many months ago until the end of my safari was first class. The accommodation at both camps was great and it was amazing to stay in the heart of the park. I couldn’t believe how many amazing sightings we had (big 5x2 and so many more) and our guide Simon was so passionate and knowledgeable (not to mention a fab chef) with the most incredible eye for spotting animals. He made the trip so personal and fun for our wee group. Wish I could do it all again! I Would not hesitate to recommend wild wings to anyone looking for an incredible safari experience.

We did a 4 day Kruger Park tour in March 2023 and it was incredible! Clare was our agent who was very prompt at replying and the organisation was seamless. Rufus was our guide / chef - he made tasty meals and made sure we were the first out the gate each morning. Rufus has a very good eye and knows the park well as we saw EVERYTHING we hoped to: lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalo, zebras, giraffes, elephants, hyenas, wild dogs, hippos AND a honey badger! When I showed an interest in spotting birds he also made sure to look out for and point out as many as he could. You’d be very lucky to have him as your guide! Would 10/10 recommend using Wild Wings Safari.

We recently had a 4 day safari to Kruger National Park being picked up at our hotel in Johannesburg by our guide Nicky. What an amazing time we had & not only were the wildlife, birds etc a highlight but so was Nicky! She was so knowledgeable & passionate about her job & knew exactly where to be at the right time to see everything. Thank you Nicky for making our safari a truly amazing family experience. Also thanks to Doug for cooking for us. I couldn’t recommend Wild Wings Safaris enough.
