Irene = Peace

This is what peace on earths looks like. In the middle of the peaceful village of Irene. This is where kids grow up and play where parents and grandparents can tell stories to their kids about playing on this almost 120 year old field.

Very Cricket old chap!

In the middle of a suburb is a large piece of open green grass that comes alive every afternoon and over weekends with all kinds of activities, from mini soccer matches, running children, people running time trials, model drone flying, barking dogs to families having an impromptu pick-nick. Surrounded by trees, it is the perfect place to get away form it all without going away! They actually play cricket there over the weekend!

The oval in Irene

Boy do I wish I lived around this oval, it's great to see kids playing and laughing and hanging out. It's slap bang in the middle of the Irene village homes. It has markets and sometimes live music on

The oval in Irene is a good place to go on a Sunday afternoon. There is a big open grass oval that is popular with everyone in Irene. Some Sundays there are cricket games and most of the time you will find people walking their dogs.

We often take the children and the dogs to the oval in the evening. A lovely open space with big trees. It is calm and peaceful with lots of other people picnicing, playing cricket, walking their dogs etc. Tranquil and good for the soul.

A little piece of Irene

Since I was a small kid I have played on the oval. As an adult I take my dogs for walks and will take my kids there someday.

Beautiful trees, security is always visible and it's such a great place just to go relax in the evening or on the weekends.

The oval is a central recreation area in the middle of old Irene Village. On weekends you will find people exercising or strolling with their dogs. Well maintained grass.

Walk the dogs and watch the kids play all at the same time!

Like one big family, the people of Centurion come together, especially over the weekends to walk their dogs and let the little ones play on this midtown cricket ground open to all. The town team plays cricket here, originally build for the people of the concentration camp close by (another site to visit). It is a lovely spot for a picnic watching all the dogs and children as well.
