...a different story if you are there to buy. For example, the 4 coin (1.875oz) Big Cats set was SAR60,000 2X the gold spot price. The Ocean silver set 3x spot. So check out the artifacts and small collection of historical coins from South Africa and around the world - but be prepared to spend a mint to get bullion... More

I buy coins from them, but the place just has a nice feel, and I think it will be a good touristy thing to do ...

Quite interesting but not enough to keep the younger children amused. If you are a numismatic you will love it

Interesting to learn how coins are minted, but maybe more for the serious coin collector who can also purchase various coins there. The displays are well done and gives a good overview and history of the mint.

This visit is worth the visit. Learn about the making of coins and treat yourself by buying a coin at the coin shop. Also have something to eat and drink at the nearby restaurant.

Go back in time ... interesting, a trip to remember. Book your visit. We had an interesting and informative guide. The museum is fascinating ... all those Kruger Rands and Mandibe coins ... there are items for sale. Something very different!
