Umhlanga has a lovely Main Beach, a wonderful walkway to stroll along in the mornings, stop for coffee or breakfast. The beach is very clean with lifeguards. A very pleasant swimming area.

I had an amazing time, soaked in the sun & listened to music. The weather played along, such tranquility.....I lost track of time, sunset was beautiful!

This beach is more quiet and for peaceful from activities as compared to blue lagoon beach. Food at beach side hotel is average. Don't miss the rock formations nearby.

The beach was well maintained with no litter or rubbish to be seen. The ocean was clean and sparkling too. The security has kept this beach very safe and a pleasure to visit.

The best beach for families with children. Also excellent for surfing and sunbathing. Quality lifesavers on duty. Many excellent hotels and restaurants on hand. The iconic Umhlanga Promenade and Pier for walkers those wishing to enjoy the viewss.

I would really recommend The Breakers Resort or Umhlangha Sands Hotel...both on Lagoon Drive in Umhlanga
Is this a nude beach? We will be in SA driving the garden route from PE through to Cape Town. We are looking for nude beaches and nudist hotels. Any suggestions ?

This is not a nude beach and the hotel too doesn't permit nudity.
