    Wonderful Stay
We had an amazing stay at Phezulu. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Game drive was great, our guide really made sure to get us the best view of the animals and was extremely knowledgeable. I will definitely go back, lovely to be out of the hustle and bustle of city life, but close enough to shops, restaurants, highways etc.

    Energetic
Quite an interesting experience. Very energetic dance performance but the dancing troupe have circummed to western morality standards regarding dress modes for unmarried maidens. Photography is a little difficult as being seated in a traditional pavilion one is shooting into the light.

    Reptile Centre
A flying visit to the Reptile Centre which offered more than we expected. We were offered a guide, Robert, who was excellent and was engaging with my two boys, 7 and 4. They had an amazing time and learned a lot. Robert even got a couple of snakes out for the boys to hold. Felt truly welcomed throughout.

Situated in Botha's hill the game reserve provided a different type of experience from any other safaris I had been to. The pathways were steep, narrow and not man-made, giving the traveller a completely different "touch". We came across impalas, nyalas, zebras and giraffes. There is a curio shop with amazing hand-made Zulu crafts and close by a restaurant which provides magnificent views over the valley.

What an awesome weekend away. We are so extremely glad we chose Phezulu Safari Park as our preferred holiday destination. Such a beautiful park and the assistance and service we received was beyond incredible. Our room was the most amazing and the restaurant staff were extremely accommodating and friendly taking all our dietary needs into consideration when preparing our meals. Thank you to the hosts for showing what awesome service should be like, we will definitely be revisiting and have already referred this venue to many of our friends and family...thank you guys once again

I came here on impulse taking an Uber from Durban and I didn’t regret it! It wasn’t very busy on a Saturday, I was able to get a ticket to the nearest game drive which I enjoyed very much. We saw zebra, all kinds of antipopes, giraffes and smaller animals really really close, took great pictures, and the views were fantastic.

After the game drive I got a combined ticket for the reptile park and Zulu dancing show. I went to the reptile park first and was told that I’d be welcome to come back again with the same ticket after the Zulu show, which was super nice.

The Zulu dance was a staged show but it was quite fun, I felt like it would be even better if they lit a fire and let the viewers dance with them lol. They let me play a Zulu drum after the show which felt amazing.

Overall the place felt super friendly and relaxing and has very nice hill views!

Thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at the Cabbage Tree Chalet. The chalet was well fitted and comfortable; just two minor additions we'd like, a rail / hook near the sink for the dish towel and a couple of saucers for the mugs to catch the drips. And perhaps hints on settings for the gas geyser for those familiar only with electric water heaters?
Highlight of our visit was a game drive, perfectly hosted and great value.Staff we met were at all times friendly and helpful.

Had a very interesting reptile show and the chance to hold a snake. The tour guide Cameron was very knowledgeable and calm dealing with the snakes. Then went to the cultural center and watched some Zulu dancing and learnt about two huts and some information into traditional Zulu Life. Would have loved a little more info and insight into traditional Zulu life. Had a very delicious lunch at the Café on-site

This place has been a childhood favourite of mine and I remember the trips as a kid. On my birthday I decided to relive those memories. Boy was I disappointed. We were the only visitors there which I thought would be fun. The only place that you can walk through is the reptile area which was terrible. Most of the cages were empty and theres a fake snake that has been there for 20 years. Everything was run down, dusty and mostly broken.

Wow what an experience from the welcome that we received from the lady at the front desk we already knew the weekend was going to be great!! The cottage was very clean, very big and the private garden just added the "home away from home" feeling all together. The game drive was ever so exciting and thank you to Matt for entertaining my 5 year old son and answering all his questions even though the animals in questions were not part of the park. Shout out to cleaning staff, the reptile park staff (we loved the crocodile feeding), the front desk lady (I'm so sorry for not mentioning you by name) and to the estate owners thank you all for great weekend.
The Place was exceptional more especially with kids. Super User friendly.
Little holiday was full enjoyed. kids enjoyed the Play area just unfortune that we didn't get enough time to go check out the pool.
I would recommend this quiet tranquil place for anyone young and old.

The set up of the 2 bedroom accommodation at the lodge doesn’t make sense. No privacy at all i.e. no doors in any of the bedrooms. The second bedroom closes with a curtain. The place is in need of renovations (very old closets, different tiles on bath tub. They need to add more pictures for people to know what they are booking and so there are no surprises.

This was the second time we have stayed overnight and the third time we have been on the game drive and definitely want to do it again; and that's really the best recommendation isn't it? We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, with the game drive as the highlight. The guides were all great and went "above and beyond" to keep the drives interesting. Each has his own particular interests so you get a different perspective each time.
