Recently attended a conference at Durban Botanical Gardens which is a great setting for a meeting. Tea/coffee and light snacks were good. Plenty of secure free parking available. Will like to come again and walk around these gardens and explore the variety of flowers and trees etc.

I went on a golf cart tour with my husband on a sunny day for a half hour trip - something different we thought. Refreshments on sale and even a wedding being celebrated in these stunning gardens at the venue. A cool tour guide took us around showing us special trees with a magical history, an orchid house and a... More

It is beautiful and tranquil with the most beautiful Rainbow bark trees... We sat on bench near a pond/steam and had a picnic watching the birds and ducks and watching people having a baby shower and others having a photo shoot done.... it is just beautifull...

I would like to see a bit more information about the trees and plants and how long they have been there. We also got asked for money quite a few times whilst walking around, doesn't... More

Our first visit to the Botanical Gardens in Durban. This was made special by booking a Golf Cart tour of the gardens. Our guide was amazing. We go first hand information regarding most of the trees in the gardens. It was a good way to discover the gardens for the first time. We will definitely be back for a leisurely... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my recent visit to Botanic Gardens. It's an oasis in the City of Durban . The gardens were particularly well maintained and are always good to see. The orchid house is always worth a visit and makes me envious of such a beautiful and well displayed collection. Not to be missed are the cycads which are reputed... More

Tranquil setting at the Durban Botanic Gardens Conference Centre. Attended the Award for the DUT Libraries Writing Centre Competition. Venue big enough to accommodate 120 people overlooking the gardens. Guest of Honour from the University of Rhodes, Professor Christopher Man facilitated a workshop for the 75 students that qualified in the final round of the competition. For those wanting to...
