Truly a great experience not be missed by all visitors to Durban. The view of the Drakensberg mountain range before reaching Sani Pass is in itself worth the trip. Maneuvering the Sani Pass in 4x4 is a thrilling experience with great scenery made all the more mystical by light snow during my visit which was the height of winter in... More

Great day trip to Hluhluwe-Imfolozi park. Nice ride from Durban. A 12 hour day is worth it if that's all the time you have. Efficient and Professional tour with the very knowledgeable Thami. Will use 1st Zulu again when in Durban.

Terry is a great host. Three of us visited Lesotho and learned so much from terry. Long drive but worth every minute. Great time keeping and good pre event communication. Would recommend this company for anyone planning this trip to the top,of Africa.

Can't recommend the Sani Pass tour enough, Sotiris is an amazing guide and skilled driver!!! The views are amazing and of course there is the added excitement of visiting a new country. We went in winter so there was snow on the ground, which was an incredible juxtaposition from the beaches of Durban. Sotiris was very flexible and was kind... More

“What a great adventure that these six days that I spent with Sotiris of 1st Zulu Safaris. An exceptional travel that allowed me to visit, not to mention enjoy every moment for my first visit to South Africa. All the fears that accompanied me are quickly disappeared being confident. Sotiris, my guide, loves his country and knows the places that... More

The tour cost R2400 (approx $172) and promised to travel into Lesotho, seeing the highest point and then enjoying lunch and a drink at the pub located at the highest point in South Africa. While some of this happened, I was very disappointed, that after traveling from 6am - 215pm, finally reaching the pub at 2:15pm we were only permitted... More

Sani Pass and the day trip to Lesotho provides stunning scenery. It is definitely worth doing but I would not advise using 1st Zulu Safari. We booked the day trip through Viator. We were picked up 30 minutes late and the car (a Toyota) was already loaded with 4 other passengers and the driver when we were picked up. My... More

Dear Sharon My apologies for your horrendous tour up Sani Pass. Unfortunately the driver we used for your tour was Tom Thombela who is not a full time employee. We used him because our full time tour guides were busy with other tours. His actions were terrible and we apologise that your experience was so bad. We will not be... More

I joined a fantastic 1-day tour to Sani Pass and Lesotho in July. The weather wasn't necessarily perfect, but the drive was as scenic and thrilling as expected. My guide was very entertaining and knowledgeable while helpful, organised and punctual throughout the entire tour. If you don't have warm clothes with you, you can inform them in advance and they... We had a wonderful time experiencing "the roof of Africa" with Mr. Sotiris. He was delightful company and a navigated the dirt and gravel roads of the Drakensburg mountains with skill and measure. Would have no hesitation in recommending them. It was a long day --13 hours or so, much of it driving. It would have been nice to have... More

I did the mini safari -- it was just the day long adventure I needed. Not too much hustle and bustle but just enough animals and visits.
