I know this place from so many photos and magazines. This year i was able to see it live. My visit was amazing. for me, a car freak, this place is like heaven. The old stuff that you can find there, The flair and feeling is awsome. This is the ghost of the Mother Road that ist living in every... More

From the reviews, this general store sounded like a must-see. Yes, it is quaint with many rusty, crusty vehicles, porcelain signs and décor outside. We were expecting Native American jewelry, Route 66 T-Shirts, etc.inside, but it was mostly memorabilia, Route 66 books/maps and not exactly what we were looking for.

Our holiday this year was around driving part of Route 66 and this store was one of the highlights. You can't miss it, it has fuel pumps and plenty of old cars. Inside is a collection of memorabilia, some decor and some you can buy. It's not worth travelling miles and miles to visit, but if you are driving this... More

Becomes very crowded later in the day. Tours, tourists, etc. Grab a soda and hang out. Has live outside entertainment during weekends. Fun/nostalgic stuff to see on the property. Big gift store and fairly clean restrooms.

Interesting collection of Rt 66 artifacts, lots of great photo ops. This is a popular stop for tours on their way to the Grand Canyon from Vegas. Have a good look but don't buy anything, the owner is the wrong combination of grumpy and stupid. Save your money for Angel and Vilma,s gift shop in Seligman. Angel is the nicest... More

We are doing a tour of this part of Route 66, and of course had to stop. It is a fun and interesting place and we met a number of nice folks, many from other countries, who are also touring the route.

Driving on Old Route 66 you simply have to stop at Hackberry General store. It is of course quite a tourist trap, but fun anyway, just to look around and buy some souvenirs and take pictures.

This place is a hoot. Lots of old hi-way 66 memorabilia. Lots of pictures from movies that were filmed there over the decades. Great stop for treats and drinks.
