Sitgreaves Pass to Oatman, AZ is a very scenic ride, especially if you're traveling by motorcycle. This is really old Route 66. There are no services until Oatman and it's slow, so don't be in a hurry. Enjoy the day and think back to a time when this was the only road to take.

Keep your eyes peeled! Many reasons. There are wild burros. There are fenced in mines. Motorcycles galore. And dangerous curves! Went through in the summer time early in the am and was very nice out. Probably more beautiful in the Spring. A lot to see and do while in Oatman. Worth the drive...relaxing drive.

Sitgreaves Pass - Now we understand why Route 66 was removed. Pay close attention as you drive, very windy road, switch backs, and no guard rails. Pull over in large areas to take pictures if you need to. 2 lane road, go slow, do not attempt to pass. The Pass is at the highest point and you are either going... More

On the way to Oatman, we stopped here to look back into Arizona and look into California and Nevada.

Excellent motorcycle ride. Lots of History to think about. Good views on both sides of the pass. Always a fun road.

My husband and I drove up Route 66 from Kingman to Needles California, crossing over the Sitgreaves Pass. This is a very narrow road with a lot of curves and very steep drop offs. The views are really wonderful, but you don't dare take your eyes off the road for more than a second. I would not recommend this for... More

We drive over this pass at least once a year. The views are amazing! Take the time to pull over and just look around.

We were terrified to take this pass based on what we had read... good gravy, it's nothing scary at all!!!! We took the road East, as suggested, and i can't even say my heart jumped once. Lovely spots to pull over and take a picture, and move on along Route 66.

I have driven the pass several times over the years from Kingman to Oatman. Those of you that curves make nervous may want to change drivers. The views are beautiful and scary.

If you do this drive from Oatman to Kingman (first, enter Oatman from the west and then drive through to Kingman), you hug the mountain the whole way, thereby keeping the oncoming lane in between you and the steep drop-offs. Mountain roads like this are nervewracking for me—no guardrail (or flimsy old-style metal cables strung between wooden posts), no shoulder—heck,... More
