What a fantastic experience in Soweto! I did the bungee and the SCAD freefall and will remember the adrenalin forever. Such a great vibe created by the staff and cant recommend it enough to anyone who is visiting "Jozi" The views over Soweto are great.

Visitor from the UK. Arrived here after tour of soweto to do the SCAD freefall. Was myself and 12 year old daughter.
No queue and straight onto freefall which was alot higher than expected!!
Daughter then wanted to do bungee so we both did. Wouldn't be allowed in UK at her age but all good here! Again staff were great booking and sorting it and the jump staff were great. They thankfully make it a very quick jump from the moment they strap you up and guide you over the edge!
Also paid for video and photos which all came through on WA quickly. Great venue, hope more people discover and use it.

Me & my wife did SCAD free fall here. The price was 400 Rand which included a video of your freefall as well. The staff was sweet and the 2 men who made us do the free fall were very friend as well. I highly recommend this freefall to everyone who's visiting Johannesburg.

It's a great adrenaline rush and you can purchase videos to capture the moment, which is great BUT my video didn't actually do that....
I did the SCAD freefall and bungee jump combo, which meant I had to pay for the videos separately, vs having the video included for the SCAD, (which in the end isn't that much a saving to do the two together).
I went with a friend, and his video showed his fall from two camera angles (the fall from the top and one from the bottom), while mine only showed from the bottom, and honestly, it could've been stock footage, I can't even tell it's me. Multiple attempts to see if they to have the footage went unanswered and it's really soured my experience. I would've preferred something to say, sorry we don't have the footage anymore vs being ignored completely.
If you do go and purchase the video, I'd wait until it's actually sent to you (which took up to 30 mins) to see that it's actually you. My bungee video, which is taken from a go pro attached to the wrist is really cool.

On the Red Bus Tour through Soweto, we stopped here for a photo opportunity, so never went in. The place you stop, has electricity pylons and cables, so it is hard to get a good pic. Mine were taken on the approach road. Note that there were some African Dancers who duly performed in front of the vehicle. They were not pushy, but obviously looking for donations.

Worth a quick stop so you may take some pictures of the towers. There is a shop int he area for food/drinks but we didn’t go there. There is an opportunity to bungee jump from the top of the towers but it was closed when we were there (weather).

The two towers of the old coal-fired power plant were installed in a neighborhood of black citizens that lacked electricity, bringing all the pollution to the area, to provide electricity to the white neighborhoods. Today they are decorated with murals. I found it very interesting because of the story they tell.
Highly recommended.

Staff friendly, well dressed, happy, organised. Equipment clean and in good order, reassures safety aspect. An extra worker picking up rubbish lying on the floor would make the experience extraordinary but all in all a great family visit.

I bungee jumped here, which was great, but the staff there was the worst. When I was leaving, the guy who was operating the elevator told me to go inside the toilet and then told me that “he had to get some money from me”. I gave some rands I had because I didn’t want any trouble, but it left me with a bad feeling about the place.
The guys at the top of the tower helped to to take the jump though, which I really appreciate.

Soweto is an awesome Township worth checking out. I decided to go bungee jumping at the Orlando Towers just to do something different in South Africa. It was a bad decision on my part. The staff was goofing around the entire time and didn't give clear instructions. Even worse, they were rushing everything and didn't double check the straps. Aside from that, there's nothing spectacular about the view. Oh and of course they forgot to take pictures, which I paid for.

I would like to enquire about the school tours if you accommodate from grade 4 to grade 9.
Written February 6, 2019
It is best to enquire directly with a local travel agent to arrange this for you. Soweto Tours are quite reliable.

How much is it?
I have a group of friends planning a girl's trip and we'd like to add bungee jumping as one of the activities

Does anybody know of any half day tours to Soweto that include the opportunity to do the bungee jump at Orlando towers?
Thank you!
Written March 7, 2018
There are city sight seeing tour operators at johansberg please get in touch with them and compare the cost also prior to booking tour verify with them about jumping at Orlando towers and also directly from the administrators of Orlando towers as last time when we went the tower was closed due to very high wind and we could not jump. All d best and enjoy your tour regards

My daughter of 14 went jumping with me. They are very supportive, you will enjoy the jump. Let me know if you did jump. Have a great day

I would like to bungy jump at the towers and would like to know how long it takes from arrival to when you leave. And then do they do it even if it is drizzling a little?
