We did the tour with our two daughters (10 - 15). Though we've been to Soweto before it was a very special experience. The tour guides are very knowledgeable, the bikes are in a good condition and the 4h gives you a very good overview....More

The tour started with an authentic lunch (pap, veggies and meat) at the hostel. We did the walking tour (not the bicycle tour) in a small group. Our guide invited us to stop and interact with locals wherever we or they wanted to do so....More

We had a great experience with this place, run out of Lebo's backpacking hostel. We did the two-hour tour and our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Of course, it's just one guide's perspective on life in the township and the important history that has taken...More

Having been in Joburg for a week weeks with work, I was determined to find time to explore and learn about Soweto. After some research I decided cycling was different to my usual walking tour, and I didn't fancy being couped up in a car...More

This tour showed some of South African history in a fresh light. Right in the ground fist hand view of the Township was interesting. Tour guide was knowleablgable although a little one sided on the historic events of South Africa. Also a bit pricey for...More

This was our favorite experience in the Johannesburg area. The tour guides were so knowledgeable and passionate. There is so much history in Soweto and it is so important for visitors to learn about South Africa's past. This experience is a "must!"

You can't really understand South Africa without hearing multiple perspectives, and this is the best way I can think of to hear the Black perspective on Apartheid. It's both fun and informative since you will see parts of Soweto that most tourists never see, and...More

Hi sounds a great tour I would want the 4 hour tour ,would you advise to book in advance or when we get to Joburg ? What time does the tour start and is the hotel pick up and return all in on the price ? Many thanks in advance

I believe the tour would start at 10:00. I would advise booking in advance due to high demand. We did not use hotel pickup which makes me think it is extra. Definitely worth doing.

Hello, My wife and I are interested in your bicycling tour of Soweto. Do you have availability for April 27 for two persons? Also, are helmets available? How long is the tour? Do we stop for lunch or? I can't seem to figure out from the website how to reserve online. Do you offer pick up and drop off service from a hotel? Thank you!
