THIVES @ LC Waikiki - 24/01 and 25/01
Dear all, I am writting to call attention to the thives working in LC Waikiki at Sandton City Mall.
My sister bought clothes for, my nephew and her husband there.
She forgot the bag for her husband´s cloth there, the store refused to give back the bag and to show the security cameras, to prove that my sister left the store without the bag.
It is really sad that worker would spoil the good name of the store because of 250 rands items.

I had time on my hands and decided to visit this Grand Sandton City. Lots of parking far away at ends. Parked at Checkers and could not believe this big shop. The off to the big WW Sale. I loved everything and was it not for the noise in the Centre I would have shopped longer. Too much loud awful music everywhere in shops. I found lovely garments at WW at bargain prices.

If you stay in Sandton, don't miss the opportunity to spend an afternoon at the mall.
Good stores with luxury items, lots of perfumes and excellent restaurants.
The square. Nelson Mandella also deserves exploration for the restaurants around him.

This is a huge shopping centre with so many different shops ranging from cheap and cheerful to expensive and flashy. Definitely a shoppers paradise, you can spend hours (and a lot of money) here. Only problem is there's not enough maps. I only spotted one and that was as we'd just found our way to where we wanted to exit.

We stayed in the hotel connected to the mall. This is one of the biggest shopping places in South Africa. It has all the fancy designers to Woolworth’s, edgars and checkers. Lots of fast food and the connected Nelson Mandela Square has a lot of good food to choose. There is H&M and hamlets and Toy kingdom. All the gadget stores and Starbucks and Haagen day. A good way to spend the whole day. Very safe and comfortable environment

Sandton City has a brand new baby care lounge which is just so amazing. I had to breastfeed my little one and there was a private woman only room with all amenities. Super comfortable and super clean! Amazing initiative.

How many shops do you think sells great quality Chefs knives and other important kitchen accessories in Johannesburg? Your store are most probably the only store a person can actually see and even handle a product to verify the quality of the knives or other products first hand before buying, almost all the other shops are mostly online and no way you can verify your purchase which is quite a hassle if you have to return a product if you are not satisfied with the purchase that you made. My only regret is that there is not a Yuppie Chefs shop closer to me . The quality of your products is exceptional and so are the friendly service of your representatives. Thank you. Yusuf Armien

It is a big mall next to the Sandton Sun Hotel. On the one hand there high end brands like D&G etc and on the other hand normal brands like Nike etc. Lots of food beverage options. Very good.

The centre itself is highly recommended!
I had the singular misfortune to lose my parking ticket and to meet " Hilton" who came from the School of "Rules is Rules" and had no understanding of the meaning of the word " discretion". I was told that because "I could afford it" (It is true that I was driving an expensive, albeit it a late model car!) that I must pay the full usurious R50 lost ticket fine! Despite my remonstrations that Hilton's view of the size of my wallet should not determine whether I pay a "fine"' I needed him to "release" my car and I paid under protest to put an end to a rebarbative and unseemly experience. Clearly the gentleman, who had the personality of sand paper, missed his vocation in the local traffic police! Sandton City is a must see first world experience let down by a myopic parking experience!

Highly over rated and full of pretentiousness.
Nothing special here at all - just brand names & logo hunters. The same as in Dubai or London or any shopping mall aimed at label conscious - look at me types. Same applies to the food on offer - mostly all Branded Chain franchised eateries - Utter Drivel.
Do some proper shopping and get out of Sandton and hit the streets. Support local trades & restaurants & you will discover a world of different styles & tastes.

Hi folks, hope you can help. Will be staying at the Michelangelo hotel close to the Nelson Mandela center. Could you give me the name of any jewellery shop where I can buy a gold big 5 bracelet.
thanks.
Written March 3, 2018
there are many jewellery stores in Sandton city (Michael Angelo is actually in the square) specialising in tourist trade and I'm sure one of them will be able to help you.

Hi, ted. What would you like to know about this attraction?
Did the Checkers group ever have more than one store at the same time in Sandton City?
Written September 26, 2017
Definitely only 1 Checkers - used to be a Hyperama
Written September 29, 2017
It's a luxury train that travels between Sandton Pretoria and ORT international airport. Its clean has excellent security and works extremely well.

can you please tell me what are the working hours for the shopping mall ?
Written February 10, 2016
The trading hours are officially from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm (6:00 pm on Sunday). It is right for the supermarket but Main of the small shops close on 6:00 pm.
