28-hr layover in JNB; Walter Sisulu Ntl Botanical feasible? (13 Replies)
Hello, all, I will have a 28-hr layover in Johannesburg (international flights). I'd like an opportunity to walk about, outside & though I've not been there, Walter Sisulu National Botanical Gardens looks very appealing to me (a nice respite before the long flights back to the USA). Is it feasible to do these gardens from/to the airport in, say, maybe 4 or 5 hours? If so, how would one get there/back to the airport? Many thx in advance for any advice. Linda

Somewhere closer might be the Melville Koppies, Zoo lake or even Groenkloof Nature reserve might be a little more accessible - as you can get there...More
