Very good and lots of attention paid to detail. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Attention to finer details would get it to a 5 star.

The views from the top of Nooitgedacht (the highest point in the Magaliesberg Mountan Range) are stunning. In front of you (south) you have the richest Goldfields in the world. Behind you (north) you have the richest Platinum mines in the world. Yet here you stand with both feet firmly in the middle of the Cradle of Humankind! We were taken to the summit in a Game Drive Vehicle where I led my inaugural Nooitgedacht Battlefield Tour for Australian Clients. After a sumptuous Askari picnic lunch (served complete with crockery and silver!) we walked the battlefield until fetched on the summit at sunset. Just 15 min from Magaliesburg. Beautiful setting looking onto the mountain range. You can have a game drive or an Sunday lunch watching the two elephant. It is lovely spending the day there, even better to stay a few nights.

We've thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a room with the most amazing view of the calming, untouched nature; a spa treatment that was pleasantly unwinding and the food from the restuarant that was exceptionally well prepared. My proposal with the Elephants- Damara and Nzewe was magical and undoubtably special; and she said YES! Special thanks to Amorette- a remarkably talented and warming person. She made the arrangements a breeze and assured me that the experience will be memorable which surely it was! In general the staff and reception by the team at Askari was exceptional, I cannot fault it at all- my sincere appreciation for making this an unforgettable experience! We will visit again, maybe if we're lucky we'll even get married there... …
