The area aound the Transvaal Museum includes Melrose House , Burgers Park , Pretoria City Hall,The Children's Museum , Natural Cultural History Museum , Museum of Science and Technology , and the State Library all within a few City blocks of each other and linked by Paved walkways with signs directting tourists to the respective Museums included.
It is the largest focal point of Cultural resouces in Africa.
It is for this reason the area is known as the Mall of Museums ( Museum Mall )
There has been talk by the City Council for the benefit of Tourists ( Particularly those from Overseas ) of keeping out undesireable elements ( Beggars and pickpockets ) by fencing off and charging an entrance fee the area including historic buildings around Pretoria Church Square and seperately the area known as Museum Mall .
It is a part of the City and thus the city roads are available for you to use your car to get to each of the included Museums which each have their own secure Car parks.
Each Museum seperately administered and charges own entrance fee and all maintain a high standard and each is worth viewing.
