Overview
More
The Cheetah Centre in South Africa was established in 1971, initially as a cheetah breeding project and the Centre has during the past 40 years bred over 800 cheetah cubs. Various conservation projects have been initiated since its inception which also inlcudes a successful African wild dog breeding programme. Known in the past as the De Wildt Cheetah Centre the name has recently been changed to the Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre as a tribute to the woman who has devoted her life to the survival of the cheetahs as well as other rare and endangered species

Passionate staff add very much to this very good cause. Not only is this a Sanctuary for destitute animals but they do a great job educating the public through visits to their property but they also reach out to various communities. One would expect to...More

Our tour there was amazing!. Cheetahs, vultures, African wild dogs -- all endangered - were house there. Our tour guide was very interesting and we saw and learned about many different animals. Well worth the visit. About 30 minutes outside of Pretoria.

My recommendation is that Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre is an attraction for half a day. 7.30 to 12:00pm; unless you want to do more with the Cheetahs which I am sure they can accommodate a more in depth interaction with the... More
