Visited the museum on a Saturday afternoon. Was surprised to be only visitors, the museum had to be opened for us. Informative, especially with displays relating to primary school history work. Will recommend to someone who is truly interested in traditional culture, otherwise prepared to be bored.…

This used to be a superb museum, a highlight of the Tshwane cultural and museum scene with interactive displays and huge, beautiful spaces, and a great shop, but I feel it is suffering from a lack of budget and of really interested staff. It is extremely difficult to reach by phone, 012 324 6082, and at the moment I would hesitate to take international and local visitors there.
