I visited the mosque with a friend and was very impressed with the building. We were offered a free tour and our guide was very professional and answered all our questions. Had a light lunch afterwards in one of the little restaurants. Entrance is free.

Very imposing structure. Has library and books. Do not miss the art gallery, which was very nice. This Mosque is situated next to a (less imposing) Hindu Temple which is a testimony of cordial inter-faith relations in South Africa.

I must say the architecture was beautiful, however, the place needs alot of TLC , the upkeep needs to be on point and it could do with a a Tour Guide , also an Events Planner to host functions to better showcase the space and the art that is at the premises. so it was difficult with no tour guide... Beautiful replica of Turkey mosque, stunning construction and amazing views from this place of the city. There are few restaurants also inside mosque premises. We enjoyed spending time here.

Visited this beautiful and peaceful place in Midrand. People of all faiths are welcome. Exquisite architecture. Visible from the N1. Easy to get there. You don't have to go to Turkey to see such a beautiful place of worship

A must visit if u in the vicinity. A replica of the mosques in turkey. The paintings are awesome and a must see especially if u have been to turkey. Separate facilities for men and women to pray. Turkish restaurant adjacent for a nice turkish meal.

The Mosque in Midrand is just beautiful. The building itself is exquisite and the picture gallery inside is worth spending time in. As non-Islamic visitors I would recommend to be respectful and try to time your visit between prayers. There is a lovely side building at the entrance that has a bakery, restaurant, sweet shop, gift and crafts, and barber... More

We were very surprised that this place is open to the public and that there is also no entrance fee. We dined by one of the restaurants around and proceeded to the entrances where we were also very lucky to have the imam guide us around the mosque. Highly recommended if you love architecture! Estimate 3 hours for a relaxed... More

The architecture is suberb. For this alone, you have to visit. It is definitely one of the landmarks of Johannesburg.
