Small but big, as it takes you quite some time to walk through but you won't be draining all your energy in doing so. Many options to have encounters with animals in there enclosures. Brilliant day out for young and old.

We were lucky to arrive as a guided tour was about to start. Don't think that learning is only for kids. Did you know that panthers have huge dark rosettes and are not pitch black, they love playing with balls too. The Maribou Stalk is...More

This zoo isn't very far from downtown Johannesburg. It is small and quaint. They do a lot of rehabilitation with animals. You can even pay to visit the small animals.

Amazing that such a variety of animals could be seen right here in the middle of the concrete jungle !

This “sanctuary” felt more like a traditional zoo, much to my disappointment. While the animals seemed cared for, a few things were concerning to me, as a visitor (granted, with limited knowledge of the inner workings). First were the “encounters” with the animals, which visitors...More

Well maintained zoo. The animals are well cared for. Lory Park is ideal for children 10 and under as its smaller and security seems good. There is a play area for the kids when they don't want to look at the animals anymore. There are...More

You book it with them at the gate or at the tuck shop. Last time I was there, there were baby Cheetahs, lion's and vultures.

Adults are R100 and kids over 2 are R70. There are also animal encounters which you can pay extra for. They take credit cards.
