I have already reviewed this place as part of our visit to constitutional hill. But I will reiterate this is one of the must dos in any visitor to the region. Very moving, very heartwrenching and extremely important in the where South Africa is today!

Nice area of Joburg, there is a museum inside of the fort. Just next to the high court, it's possible to visit if your on the hop on-hop off bus.

This fort was part of my tour. Very small. Worth seeing. Takes 15 min to see this and the court house.

The entrance is kind of hard to find since it is on the back side of the building, but you may spend about an hour here as part of visiting Constitution Hill. There is some info on the history of the fort, and we did...More
