Without seeing Soweto it is hard to understand South Africa and all the struggle against apartheid. It can be undoubtedly said that this is the most important place in Johannesburg with Nelson Mandela's and Desmond Tutu's houses.

Very good and comprehensive tour showing both the wealthier and more deprived areas as well as the historical highlights. The tour guide Simon was extremely good as was the local guide.

Really interesting tour that included all three major attractions: Mandelas House, Hector Pieterson museum (Soweto student uprising) and visit to a shanti town. We have two guides and they were both born and raised in Soweto. Don't miss this if you go to J'burg.

Very informative tour of Soweto in the pouring rain but Simon, our tour guide, made sure we did not miss out on anything. He provided umbrella's and even arranged a mini tour within a tour with one of the residents in the shanty town.

A great way to see all sides of Soweto as well as get an understanding of the historical significance of this Community. Our guide Simon was the perfect combination of knowledge (he seemed to know everyone) and humor. Well worth the time and expense
