Took kids to Sci Bono. Aged 9-10. 2 boys and 2 girls. They had lots of fun. Joined BASF team for experiments and really enjoyed. Very save. Kids walked around on their own and enjoyed all the stations. Coffee shop available. 2 hrs too short however. Planning to go back. Staff all around to assist kids.

Sci-Bono is a decent science centre (the only one in Johannesburg) that seems to keep the kids happy for an afternoon with some informative and interactive exhibitions. Some people say it is located in a dodgy area of Johannesburg, but we have never had any problems. They also offer kids' birthday party packages and we have been to a few... More

Many different activities for kids, building, electricity, microscopes, magnets, water etc. Building is an old warehouse and we needed coats. Can only eat in designated area on the ground floor - this does ensure exhibits are kept clean. Staff did help when asked Got a bit noisy as there were many school trips

Being a bit on the old side you get taken along with for the grandkids birthdays. Great place in Johannesburg to take the younger visitors lots to keep them busy. There are many interactive displays for all ages. Parking is safe but it is a good idea to take some snacks along as the shack bar was not so good.... More

I recently visited Sci-Bono with my children, aged 5 & 7. There is save parking and everyone is very friendly and helpful. There is a variety of displays and interactive experiments for children to explore. My children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. A big hit for them was the wall building at the Murray & Roberts display and the young scientist exhibition.... More

The first time we visited Sci-Bono we were unsure as to what we should expect - we absolutely loved the experience. So much so that we have visited this wonderful down town experience several times. The centre is an interactive delight for young people (and adults) and hosts fabulous exhibits which children are encouraged to engage with in a tactile... More

Went to see Body World at this science venue. What an experience ! Walked around for two and a half hours totally entranced by what makes up our bodies. The portable listening devices really help as well. Highly recommended

There is so much to do at Sci-bono for children of different ages and adults. I was impressed to see that they had a holiday program to provide computer programming training at no cost.
