We did the Ghost Walk which was full of amazing Jerome History. Not so many Ghosts which would certainly be angry considering the thousands who died so violently in the town.

Fortunately we met John, a 93 year old local walking his dog. He pointed out the jail which we could then see the top from a half block away. Now John could easily classify as an attraction. His wonderful humor and attention to two wandering tourists was nice. Whether the history of the town or his own personal experiences, his... More

But it's free! The story was interesting to read. And it takes less than 5 minutes. Actually, just walking around Jerome itself is fun if you love old historic towns. I found the info on the Methodist Church more compelling.

This is a great visit if you are a budding architect, city planner, or Builder. A study of what happtends when you build a heavy block made out of cement on a hill side and gravity will always win!!! Not much to see, Just the knowledge of that this building is moving down the hill very slowly.

and one of the attractions in Jerome .... but does not take a lot of time to see / walk around and take pictures that you may never look at again . . . but at least be able to say you saw it. Find it ..... walk around it . . . smile .... it's Jerome after all :-)

Stopped in Jerome on a cold day trying to get away from the snow in Flagstaff. I had wanted to see the Sliding Jail; nice to see if you are in the area.

There are some historic signs and a lot of folks taking pictures, but not a lot to look at. Only takes a few minutes to walk around.
