A nice place to visit but a better place to live.
Jun 2021
Three years ago we were vacationing in Old Town, Scottsdale and as I had rented a car, we decided to check out Fountain Hills. The Fountain and the park are nice but being from NYC we decided we'd watch the fountain spout two or three times and then have no reason to watch it again. However, FHs is not just about the park. We liked the town.

The following year we did it again and the year after that, again. How do we feel about the town? Well, we are selling our house on Long Island and we close on our new place in FHs, overlooking the park, in just over two weeks. I'm retiring in FHs.

This is going to be great. Nobody pushing others into subway trains. No racial / political demonstrations on the corner of the block I live on. Just peace, quiet, a sky to look at on my terrace in the evening, and a low population density.

Have fun New Yorkers. I am OUT!

ZEN
Aug 2021
I am very lucky to have this place close to home, great for a nice solo walk or with dogs, people are so friendly and so many restaurants near by. Excellent place to decompress whatever your choice is walk or just sit and enjoy your surroundings. Plenty of rooms for kids to run around or use the kids play area

Great place for walk
May 2021 • Couples
Took an overnight trip to Fountain Hills and took a morning walk around the park. Clean and open with nice walking paths and bits of art scattered about. The fountain itself was not working but it didn’t take away from the atmosphere. The people of this Phoenix suburb are very friendly. I can see why this is one of the areas where people are moving to

Such a pleasure
Apr 2021 • Couples
Wonderful park with great paved pathways that surround the fountain. Especially beautiful just before sunset and seeing the mountains in the distance. The fountain itself is impressive! Loved seeing it turned green for St. Patrick’s Day! Fun place, next time we’ll bring a picnic!

The Fountain, Fountain Hills, Arizona
Mar 2021
My favorite part of my visit to The Fountain in Fountain Hills, Arizona? All of it. The Fountain itself and all of the park area from which you view The Fountain. Many MANY things for children to participate in. One display is a musical tones display where children (YES and adults) can make various sounds as you would with a musical percussion instrument (such as The Vibes). Our visit was on Saint Patrick's day, March 17, 2021. On Saint Patrick's Day, at l2 o'clock high noon and again at 5pm in the late afternoon, The Fountain is green in color. Fun to see. We saw the 5pm display and it lasted a full forty five (45) minutes. If you study up on The Fountain, you will see that it is NO ORDINARY Fountain. It is quite an engineering feat.

WELL worth traveling to experience!
Mar 2021
The problem with reviews are some people that don’t actually read the details on the subject before they go! The Fountain is SPECTACULAR!! The water is wonderful, it is mesmerizing & SO peaceful in these troubled times! When there’s high winds the Fountain doesn’t run, I dove 40 miles & waited to see it! It is a Park so wildlife is ALLOWED to be there! If you really must avoid bird feces DON’T go there. ‘It happens, think of it as mud! The water fowl have a great time & MOST people appreciate them! Little kids watch the huge flocks in awe! I loved seeing the Eagle soaring!
There are also many benches & picnic tables where people can visit! My 6 1/2 Lb. dog
LOVED the adventure & it’s a very dog friendly Park for conscientious responsible (pick up after & have on leash!) owners who want to get exercise with their 4 legged friends!

Goose excrement everywhere
Dec 2020 • Family
This would be a much nicer attraction without all of the goose poop everywhere. Some was old; some was fresh. It looked like the walking path/sidewalk hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Statues enhance the path. There were public bathrooms and benches. Also, a nice war memorial. Good signage on different varieties of cacti. There is a playground and disc golf course.

Rip off
Nov 2020
I say this is a rip off because they advertise that it’s the “world famous” fountain, but then they don’t give you THAT fountain. The famous one can shoot up roughly 50 stories, but they only do that on special occasions, so when I’m sitting there waiting for it to shoot off and it goes up about ten stories I feel a little ripped off. It’s false advertising.

smell was terrible, slippery
Oct 2020
Fountain hills park should be renamed the swamp park, Went there today for a walk with my wife, very smelly, swamp smell. Too much water and they water all day during the weekends. Not properly managed? Puddles everywhere, sidewalk soaked in the middle of the day and in the morning? Terrible experience. Because of the constant watering and over saturation, the grass is dying and the sidewalks are extremely slippery. Very likely someone will slip and fall and most likely sue the town for neglect.
Not a park I will re-visit in the near future.

Mini "Jet d'Eau"
Oct 2020
It's a mini "Jet d'Eau." It is very tall, but doesn't seem to reach the advertised 560 feet. It is intermittent, possibly due to wind. Worthwhile to see as a side trip for lunch or dinner, or a detour off AZ 87.
