Description:

Alcantara Vineyards is a dream venture created by Barbara and husband Bob...

Alcantara Vineyards is a dream venture created by Barbara and husband Bob to provide their family and partners the opportunity to live the dream of growing a vineyard community and winery. It was in cultivating the vineyards and embracing the land that Barbara and her family soon realized there was a bigger picture in this hidden treasure along the confluence of two rivers. You’ll find Alcantara Vineyards has over 13,000 vines and offers 12 different varietals. While you sip wine and enjoy our peaceful surroundings, which include vineyards, a grass picnic area, the Verde River and bald eagles flying overhead, you’ll find you are part of our community and family.

Love the Place.

Beautiful property. Outside of Cottonwood, and easy to miss the turn-off. Enjoyed the tour & explanation of their history & product. Wines were good, especially Confluence.

My fiance and I took a day trip from the valley to do some verde valley wine tasting-our first stop was Aclantara which was a mistake. A beautiful mistake. It was a mistake because we could easily have spent the whole day enjoying their wine and beautiful wines, and thew wineries we tried after Aclantara just did not measure up.... More

When you open the door, it is literally like walking into someone's foyer, and the main tasting area is a fully-functioning kitchen. We initially felt like cattle being herded, but the owner seemed to notice the ambivalence of her staff and swooped in and took over. She was very pleasant, and despite the large number of people in the cozy... More

Very friendly staff pouring the wine in a very comfortable room. They're wines were very good especially their Meritage. and the price of the tasting included souvenir glasses. A very nice touch. We also got to meet Charlie Brown, the winery dog who is a rescue dog and very friendly.

A bit of the main route, this winery stop offers a chance to taste some enjoyable wines, tour the winery and wander through the vineyards. The tasting fee is reasonable, given the bottlings offered. We chose a table on the deck overlooking the planted rows along the Verde River just upstream of the confluence with Oak Creek. Our host shared... More

My husband, a friend and I visited Alcantara last year on a Saturday. Unfortunately it wasn't a very good experience. The place was packed with people, and the live music was right next to our table. We escaped the crowd and went to the deck. The owner came out to talk with us. I was so impressed with her and... More

My sister and I visited for her birthday and the staff was amazing. The wine was fantastic and so were the appetizer options! It was also pretty cool to be met at the door by the official winery puppy dog!

Avoid the traffic into Sedona and drop by Alcantara! If you exit on the "Cottonwood" exit off of I-17 instead of the Sedona exit you'll be taken on a nice traffic free detour through Cottonwood and on to 89a into Sedona. Alcantara is on 179 just a few minutes before arriving in Cottonwood. It's on the right and very easy... More

We had a wonderful sunny afternoon at Alcantara. The vineyard tour was great and the Moscato unbelievable. The staff was friendly and educated...we had never done a wine tasting or vineyard tour...the views are gorgeous.
