Description:

Alcantara Vineyards is a dream venture created by Barbara and husband Bob...

Alcantara Vineyards is a dream venture created by Barbara and husband Bob to provide their family and partners the opportunity to live the dream of growing a vineyard community and winery. It was in cultivating the vineyards and embracing the land that Barbara and her family soon realized there was a bigger picture in this hidden treasure along the confluence of two rivers. You’ll find Alcantara Vineyards has over 13,000 vines and offers 12 different varietals. While you sip wine and enjoy our peaceful surroundings, which include vineyards, a grass picnic area, the Verde River and bald eagles flying overhead, you’ll find you are part of our community and family.

I have visited vineyards and wineries in several different states and countries. Alcantara is truly special. The host was well-informed and enthusiastic. The setting and views were delightful. The wines offered were excellent. My only regret was that my home state does not permit shipments of wine from Arizona.

We are not wine experts, but enjoy visiting local wineries. Alcantara is down a winding dirt road- don't be discouraged by the ride. The winery is warm, comfortable and welcoming. There are tables to sit and relax and enjoy your tasting- both inside , on the deck and out near the vineyard. We visited on Valentines Saturday, and got a... More

On the bank of the Verde River, this hillside vineyard is a great stop in the Sedona/Verde Valley area. Alcantara's wines are varied and distinctive. My husband's favorite is Confluence; mine is Nebbiolo...or Viognier...or Mourverdre...hmmm. A wine for every mood - and that is why I almost always start with a tasting of several, no matter how often I have... More

We came here after a suggestion from The Art of Wine in Sedona and were not disappointed. We were greeted by Susie and other Clemson fans as it was the day after the Fiesta Bowl. The wines were unique and tasteful. We had an appetizer plate on the side. It was quite an enjoyable experience and we'd definitely recommend to... More

Title states it all. Unwelcoming, cold, and stand offish attitude from tasting employee. I stated I am currently within the industry as well, and the woman could not have cared any less. We sat at the bar, but there was no one ever around as she was too busy with her friends on the other side of the room. She... More

Although there are now a variety of wineries from Cottonwood up through Jerome....Alcantata continues to be my favorite. Atop the winding road you can see the winery nestled down the mountain. The winery itself is so welcoming, especially at Christmas time when owner Barbara delights tasters with her beautiful Christmas tree. This winery ,with the beautiful artwork and the lovely... More

We enjoyed this winery after a water to wine rafting trip. Tasting these wines made an excellent end to a fun day. They have a fur baby hanging out and socializing with guests. The atmosphere was nice and the wines were good. We recommend stopping in for a taste. The road that you travel to get to the winery is... More

We spent a pleasant hour or so here taking pictures and drinking wine on the patio. Most of the vines had lost their leaves in late October, but enough remained for some pretty pictures. Our friendly server patiently explained the winery's history. A flight of five wines costs $10 and includes a free glass; if you have a two-for-one coupon,... More
