- lynnsocalIrvine, CaliforniaA recommended experienceSo, here's the thing. Going here was fun. We had a nice tasting, some charcuterie, it was a pleasant drive to get there. They have an outdoor area where you can sit while you try your wines. I would recommend it as an experience, something to do in Sedona when you've had enough hiking and crystal-gazing. Did we buy any of the wine? No. Enough said? I think so.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten November 2, 2023
- Great winesGreat wine and friendly Yvonne and her husband gave us the history of the winery and answered all my many questions about the wine they made. Prices maybe high but it is a boutique winery. They create fine wines not mass produced. Highly recommend there winery if looking to taste fine winesVisited November 2023Traveled with familyWritten November 14, 2023
- Nice stop in this small wineryThis is a small winery off 89A between Sedona and Cottonwood. It was a pretty location. We were fortunate there wasn’t a large group when we were there as they are a stop on commercial tour companies itinerary. They did have a few good wines that we purchased. Nothing else makes this stop stand out as a must do. Just a pleasant afternoon and serves as a diversion from the craziness of Sedona.Visited June 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten July 5, 2024

Stopped her to try the wine and bistro. Unfortunately the bistro was closed for a special occasion - might recommend calling ahead to make sure it's open when you visit. Had the wine flight in the tasting room - really unique wines to try. Enjoyed our time learning about the winery and making conversation with fellow patrons. They had some cute art/wine gifts for sale too.

Highly recommend Javelina. We are familar with CA wineries and found Javelina to offer not only a good wine selection but great customer service. We ordered the charcuterie tray and was very impressed with the selection and presentation. Definitely put Javelina on your wineries to visit!

This turned out to be our favorite winery, and we originally weren't planning on going to this one. But, what a gem. The wines at this winery were amazing. I actually ended up purchasing 4 bottles knowing I was going to have to figure out where in my suitcase these were going to go. But, I was definitely going to find room to take these home with me. And, coincidentally we timed it where there was live music and the young man performing was just amazing. We were only going to stay for a short time at this winery planning to move on to the next winery, but because of the great wine and super music we skipped the next place and stayed at this winery. We didn't try the food as we had already eaten at another winery, but from what I saw of the food being served I would most definitely order food at this winery the next time. You won't be disappointed visiting this winery!!!!! Cheers

This winery had several excellent red wines to taste. However, the cost per bottle at this winery as with all the others we visited in Arizona seemed quite high to me. If you like one enough to buy for a special occasion I can understand that. We enjoyed a total of 4 wineries on this trip in March, and I honestly thought the wines here were likely the best. However, I make no claims to be an expert on any wines. The cost for tastings is all right and atmosphere of most wineries is very pleasant. The weather could not have been nicer. If you enjoy wine tasting this winery should be on your list, I believe.

Don't visit. My friends and I were on our bday trip. This was the first stop on our wine tour day. An older thin lady was rude even to our tour guide from the moment we arrived. She seemed to not even know that our wine tastings had already been paid for by our tour company! She gave us a bland descriptive sheet of wine, and poured our tastings. There was no description of the process of making the wine, varietals, etc. The wine at my local grocery store was better (and I have done wine tastings all over the world). I wish I could rate this place a zero.
I suspect this older lady is biased against certain groups; we bought several bottles of wine and gave gratuity to the other establishments we visited.

OK. We're in Northern AZ. A winery? Gave it a chance. Not fancy, We thought the tasting was pricy ($24, about $5 for a third of a glass). (In CA some areas are free to taste. Maybe we are just cheap.) The reds were not served at a proper temperature. We selected 5 reds for tasting and immediately got a flight of 5 small vials of wine and a glass. We expected more of a one on one with the host and a poured serving for each taste. This was self serve. No discussion of each wine's features. Felt like, "here you go, let me know what you want to buy".
Spent our money on tasting and left. You would think a discount would be given for tasters. Wine was not good enough for the asking prices.

The staff at the tasting room was very, very nice and welcoming. Tasting options were good, albeit at 20 USD, a bit high, given the tiny sips. Highly educational on wineries in Arizona having a longer history that Napa or Sonoma, it was an unexpected experience for us during our visit to Sedona. The wines on offer are nice, a bit pricey but, given the "boutique" size and very small volume produced, understandably so.

We walked into the cute tasting room in the front of the facility that was about a third full and the staff member suggested we go to the back tasting room. We thought she was trying to spread people out for Covid.
We got to the back tasting room and it was nearly full, so we went back to the front and let her know and said we could get better service up front. She went to check out some other people who were finishing up and told them she tries to send the "tourist" outback.
We walked out. We confirmed with the people walking out what she had said. Funny thing is they were from California. They said the wines were marginal at best and overpriced.
We don't need to be insulted. We have a 650 bottles cellar at home, buy wine by the case to enjoy to remember great places, and have traveled all over for wine tasting. Never have we been treated so poorly.

This was the second stop on our wine tour. In the back of the room, there is an amazing collection of ribbons and awards bestowed on the winery. Having said that, I confess that we were not a good fit. I am a fan of white wine and there was only one, a riesling. I tried a glass. It was, of course, not a chardonnay or pinot grigio but I did not strain to finish it. On the other hand, priced at $44 a bottle, I would never spend that much. My friend is a red wine fan and had lots of options but settled for the sangria. Not a good sign.
As I said, the winery is evidently highly regarded by those who know more than I but, for us, it was not a good fit.

Do you still bake the wonderful chocolate truffles daily? Can you eat there? Buy to go? How much are they?

We might be coming as part of a Diamond Resort excursion. I am wondering if wine tasting is included in our free dinner package? Also what will be on the menu for dinner on June 17th?

Sorry, you’d need to ask the winery or your tour coordinator, directly.
