This time, I did not find too many things of interest in the programming, but I must give them high ratings for seating (all tiered), plenty of parking and great location in downtown Chandler, surrounded with happening places to eat. It’s not as good when it comes to on-time performance. You can buy drinks in the Lobby and take them inside to consume during the performance. I also did not like it that they do PR prior to the performance: I was there to listen to the music of Ray Charles, for goodness sake, not to the Executive Director of the Center…

Well, this is a nice venue.
Beer, wine, snacks....take it to your seat. Great tiered seating. More intimate than other venues. (I honored the request of no flash photos inside, otherwise I would have posted some.)
Had a great time and will watch for upcoming events. Less than 25min drive from west side Phoenix (post rush-hour).

Went to see Johnny Lang last night at Chandler Center for the Arts. It was our first time in that venue. It was a great,¢ small venue experience. The sound was excellent and I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. We definitely recommend CCA and we are definitely going to look for more entertainment to enjoy at the center!

I recently attended the India Arie concert here and it was fabulous. No matter where you sit in the theater, you are able to see and hear exceptionally well. The acoustics are amazing, staff is super friendly and you can tell that they take great pride in the upkeep of the building. Only issue is parking, so make sure you arrive early. Especially if it's a sold out show. If you can't find a park, there are extra parking lots on the opposite side of the theater on Chandler Blvd. I will definitely return if they book another one of my favorite artists.

Considered by many among the best in the country, that alone makes any show worthwhile.. and the calendar is also among the most diverse in the valley. Have heard foreign performers unfamiliar with Phoenix be overwhelmed by the auditorium.

I find this place much better accessible than the snobbish options at the Scottsdale Center for the Arts. Programming is much more diversified and people-oriented as opposed to intellectuals only. There was a Glen Miller Orchestra yesterday, Groucho next week and Art Garfunkel is coming next month, how's that for diversification! Plenty of parking space and some libations available. I just with they'd do away with the peddling and beginning before performances...

Generally, a very nice classic old style theatre for performances of various types. This theatre has a very large and deep stage. This is great for theatre, and once i saw an ice skating show on this stage and it was perfect. That being said that despite decent sound it's not a great place for some bands to perform. The band, in this case, Los Lonely Boys, was set up so deep within the stage that even from the front of the theatre, it felt like they were a million miles away, not sure if this is standard set up for bands at this theatre, but it's not a great set up. Again, i must say it's a very nice theatre with nice employees overall and would go again for other types of performances.

This venue is great because it is not too big. That is, you will be able to get a great seat anywhere in the house. They also do a good job of bringing in performances suitable for children.
