Nice venue for the Lucas Oil Drag Boat races. We came on Sunday morning and there was still trash all over the stands and in the bathrooms and on the bridge over from the previous day. I do think this should have been cleaned up. Plenty of trash cans around on the main avenue. However, NO recycling cans. As a corporation, please let's help the Earth and lead in some green policies.…

I figured the parking would be a bit easier with such a small crowd of circa 5,000 but it was not the best. Once in the area it was wonderful. Having each ticket get you into the pits is really a nice way for the NHRA to build its fan base in my view. We stood down by the finish line and did not sit in our seats. The new management has parking, shuttle service and ticket sales well thought out and well placed. They over-sold General Admission at the last NHRA National, but that just means we'll get reserved seats next time. The vendors are more organized, the midway was just as entertaining and the employees seemed to care about the guests - checking tickets, & directing traffic. The facility was under Firebird Raceway. Now, it's known as "Wild Horse Pass Raceway", owned and operated by the Indian tribe that also runs the Casino near by. As with previous name, ALL of the vendors are a rip-off operation, taking advantage of race fans with OVER PRICED drinks and food...American capitalism at it's worst. Raceway itself remains the same with ZERO improvements from previous owner, invocation is now done with Indian prayer which 99% of the race fans could care less about followed by some Indian song that many careless more than the invocation. Thanks for the race but, I'm not into that heritage stuffed down MY throat. I'll go back to the races again but, I just need to put up with all the heritage being shoved down MY throat again...Thanks, Wild Horse Pass.…
