This place Was so friendly and so fun really worth the money and the trip, we went on the 1.5 hour sunset ride and honestly I would love to go back and do a four hour or longer ride the staff was amazing our trail guide was Jessie and she was awesome. If you want a really cool place with great views and information this is definitely a great place to consider. They absolutely put safety first and the horses are wonderful. I’m definitely hoping to come back here very soon!

Not all horseback rides are equal. Take my word on that, I’ve been on dozens in my day. I also grew up spending summers at my grandmother’s horse ranch in upstate New York. The trail rides that are offered by Arizona Horseback Adventures are carefully designed to maximize your fun in the saddle.

The horses are all in excellent condition, well-tempered, perfectly trained and responsive. You even get to give your horse treats at the end of the ride. From the breathtaking, scenic views we enjoyed in Tonto to the educational factoids that friendly wranglers offered along the way, we’ll definitely be coming back for seconds here.

Oh, and one more super important thingy: This company rescues and rehabs horses. The owner is very passionate about it, in fact. Each horse has an amazing story. Just ask her!

It actually feels good spending money on this adventure, knowing that you’re helping to give a horse in need a new life.

The owner went above and beyond trying accommodate us after a big storm made a washout of our original reservation. At our ride today Drew, Jordan, and the other female rangler were absolutely wonderful getting us all up on our horses with big smiles on all of our faces. They made it a really special day. Jordan was our guide and did an amazing job with information a big smile on his face and making it a really enjoyable experience for three little nine year old girls who were over the moon about this experience. We rode on Dan, Princess, Poco, Sunset, and Duke. As a mom and patron I highly recommend any ride with this company. Could not say enough good things about our day.

The staff and owner were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. They like to have fun and make sure that you are having fun. First and foremost that they stress is safety for the riders and the horses. Their Horses are well taken care of and very friendly. If you get the chance make sure to see Romeo the young Percheron This was a great time my Teenage kids loved it, as did my wife and I. I would recommend this for anyone who is looking for a great time and wonder learning experience.

My wife and I drove up yesterday to see the place as we are planning for a 35 year anniversary this March. Doty was extremely attentive to my wife's questions and very knowledgeable in addressing any concern and would even re-engage any questions after excusing herself to help other customers check in. Other staff members were equally friendly. This is where we will celebrate!

I went with a Group of 5 and we did a Sunrise Tour and it did not disappoint. Our instructor was Jodie and she was an awesome tour guide. She was also easy to work with when it came to reserving. My group actually had to postpone our tour due to a little snafu we had with one activity we were doing that would have made us late. So, working with Jodie she was able to reschedule us for the next day at sunrise. Again, very easy to work with and we really appreciated it. Check-in was straightforward. They prepared everything for us.

Now onto the tour, Jodie was our tour guide and she instructed us thoroughly. From getting on the horse, to what to do when going down and up a hill, and to how to make the horse stop, walk normally and go faster. Her instructions made the ride very simple. And our group did not ride horses all that often. The ride itself on the horse was good too. I was surprised that the balance was a lot easier than I thought. The tour was through the Sonoran Desert and Jodie guided us through the various flora and fauna along with various places she pointed out like towns, abandoned towns, and even a haunted house. Highly recommend this place for a sunrise tour. It will be an experience you will never forget. I’d go again and do a sunset tour this time

This was an incredible time! We had gone out for a 7 am ride to celebrate my daughter’s 16th birthday. The facilities are clean, horses and mules well-cared for, and the staff are great! Kenny led our ride which included incredible views and a few crossings of shallow creeks. The kids had a blast and we will definitely be back again!!

The ranch is pretty far off the paved road, but 4 wheel drive is not needed. Be sure you have what you need like, gas, water, and snacks. Also, add at least 15-20 minutes to the GPS indicated travel time so you can have plenty of time to get all the way back to the ranch.

We really had a great time. Our guide was Josh & he was a lot of fun. We almost canceled because we were worried about the heat (early September, 1.5 hour sunset ride) but after about 15 minutes it really started to cool down and it was just fine. Beautiful scenery, beautiful horses. So glad we didn't cancel!

We took the early bird ride. The scenery was beautiful. The wrangler was very friendly and entertaining. The horses were gentle. Our 2 hr ride was cut short by 30 minutes because the park ranger never unlocked the gate giving us access to the Tonto National Forest, but we were offered the opportunity to go out again for an hour ride with a group that came in, and we really appreciated that. Will definitely go out again with this company next time we're out this way. Thank you so much for the awesome ride!

We had a beautiful ride with great scenery. The staff were so wonderful and encouraging to our younger inexperienced children. Not only do they care for their patrons, they are rescuing horses and providing meaningful experiences.
Would absolutely recommend Arizona Horseback Riding Adventures.
