I have lived in the area for 12 years and visited the lake previously, but yesterday's rental of a pontoon boat brought a whole new perspective to this experience. The staff at the marina were professional and knowledgeable, leading to a very enjoyable experience. Can't wait to share the splendor with more out of town visitors.

Whether you live in Arizona or visiting, renting a pontoon boat on Bartlett Lake is a great half or full day adventure. Bartlett is close to Metro Phoenix but far enough to get away. It is a smaller lake that is never too crowded but creates a large amount of fun. There is a friendly staff at the marina waiting to help you.

we were 8 people and rented a boat and went out on the lake. The scenery is beautiful and the boats are very easy to handle. You can't go wrong on this trip except if you have bad weather. We got some snacks and waters and boarded the boat, took it out for 3 hours and explored the whole lake. The scenery was great, lots to see. I would recommend it.

This was a fantastic day. Everything was very organized. Pontoon was in excellent condition, Lake is beautiful. Many little coves to anchor and swim. The folks at the marina were very helpful and thorough.
The only thing is is that the walk from parking lot is VERY long and even with the handy wheel barrel transports, it is a long walk for us seniors. We were not told that they could open the gate to let us down to the water to unload. They did tell us upon checking out they would open gate and allow us to bring truck down to load up our stuff. . They need to arrange a shuttle rom the parking lot to marina. Other than that all was fantastic.

Bartlett Lake is our new favorite camping spot. We were able to camp directly on the waters edge. We setup about 20ft off the water. Make sure you check what is happening with the water levels. It was going up about a foot each night at the tie we were there, end of September. We got lucky, it was 4 ft from the rv the day we left. One more day and we would have had to move up. Great water temperature for swimming. We stayed Sunday thru Saturday. It was quiet and just a couple of campers until Thursday afternoon. Then the locals literally converged on the area. We used that as our people watching time. It was quite a spectacle. Be prepared, they park right on top of each other. There is no personal space here. But all are very friendly so no worries. We rented a pontoon boat from Bartlett Marina. The staff is incredibly accommodating and friendly. We are going to make this trip a yearly or more trip for sure. You do need to stop and pay for your activity before going to the park.

The pontoon boat we rented for a full day was in very bad shape. The speakers didn't work, the battery died on us while miles away from the marina, and the anchor provided did not work with the windy conditions. (10-15 mph). The young man who explained how to operate the boat had poor customer service also. The only reason I didn't give this a 1 star, is because the manager didn't charge us for gas. Our "full day" on the pontoon boat ended up being 3 hours. I wouldn't recommend.

I went here to test drive a Corvette and it was awesome. If you aren’t coming for the lake itself, this makes for a fantastic desert scenery drive there. The lake are is also nice, but there isn’t much to do if you don’t have a boat or want to rent one.

We rented a 21 ft pontoon boat for the day. Had a great time. The boat was very clean. Quick and easy rental process. We are not experienced boaters, so the into by the staff on all the safety features and operation of the boat was very helpful. We will definitely do it again.

We rented the party yacht for a bachelorette party with 17 people. It could not have been a more fun time! Everyone at the marina was wonderful and accommodating to us. The boat was incredible and spacious and we had an absolute blast. They let us bring all our own alcohol and plug in our music. Greg, our driver, was amazing and even let us stay out past the time we had booked since we arrived late. The lake itself is spectacular with gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains. Highly recommend this boat company and this lake!

The ONE road sign just as you turn onto Bartlett Dam road says "daily passes sold at ranger station", but the road leading to the ranger station had a closed gate and nobody could enter. Other than that sign, there were no other road signs where to purchase the daily pass. After stopping at the Marina for about 30 min, we made our way to the picnic area at SB Cove. We used one of the Ramada's to have lunch, another 30 min. On our way back to the parking lot we noticed an informational board and on a standard sheet of paper it mentions all the locations you can purchase a $6 daily pass i.e. Food city, Circle K, as well as at the Marina. We had just come from the Marina, where there were no visible signs showing this information. Anyway, at this point it was too late, because on our windshield was a fine for failure to display a recreational pass in a fee area, in the amount of $80!!!! (50 + 30 processing fee) There were 6 other cars in the parking lot at the time, 3 of them were from people camping, which all had the pass displayed, the other 3, like us, were day visitors and everyone had a fine on the windshield. This makes me believe that there is a deliberate lack of road signage as to where you can purchase a daily pass, other than the ranger station (closed), because they are obviously make more money handing out fines. We feel like the park is taking advantage of their visitors. SHAME ON THEM. Please make sure to purchase your daily passes either before going there or at the Marina if the ranger station is closed. I wish we had this information before going there.

Hi! I am planning a bachelorette party and we were thinking of doing a party boat rental.. Did you have to rent a bus to get to the lake? We are staying in Scottsdale and won't have any cars
Written February 26, 2019
There is no public transportation to the lake and the boat rental doesn't pick up as far as I'm aware. Uber or Lyft might be feasible.
