The Boulders is world renowned as one of the finest golf, tennis and spa resorts in the United States, a 2008 Golf Magazine Platinum Medal Award winning resort. Travel and Leisure Golf recently ranked The Boulders as the #7 Golf Resort in the USA for 2006 and #2 Golf Resort in the USA for 2005. Regionally the magazine ranked The Boulders the #1 Golf Resort in the Southwest for 2005 and 2006. The Boulders Club is nestled in the tranquil beauty of the high Sonoran desert and 12-million year old granite boulder formations that dot the landscape. From the ancient Indians to the modern day vacationers who come to bask in the peace of a spectacular natural setting, all have been drawn to the vast serenity of the terrain and the precariously balanced boulders silhouetted against the Sonoran sky.

The courses (North and South) were both well maintained. the South course is more challenging. The North course has wider fairways.

Wonderful course worth the expense. One of the nicer courses in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. Friendly staff and good cart lady. Really enjoyed the course. Very challenging. Played North Course.

I had excellent experiences all 3 times I played here. Everything was as it should be, driving range, staff, course, food were all top notch. The price is high end but so is everything about playing here, I will return next year.

While quite pricey in season, the South course presents magnificent views and moderately challenging holes. Staff is friendly and club rentals (Nike's) were in reasonably good condition. Excellent driving range with chipping and putting areas. Worth it's ranking among Golf Digest's 100 Courses You Can Play.

We've done the Phoenician & the Royal Palms but have come to the conclusion that when vacationing in the area the Boulders is by far the best , if your looking for a low key high end relaxing experience. While a few miles off the hot spots the Boulders shines at solitude if like ourselves you appreciate a great spot... More

Enjoyed both courses. South course was our favorite and slightly more scenic. Both were challenging. They have members play one course and non-members play the other and alternate daily. There are plenty of local residents carrying the Troon Card who play here. As resort guest we were paired with local residents which made it enjoyable to play with those who... More

We played the South course and found it challenging. Of course, plenty of beauty in the surrounding rocks but the course itself is well maintained and pace of play moves along according to schedule. Having played both courses at The Boulders, the South is preferred.

North course easier than south course, I have never seen grass so beautifully manicured. It is very well layed out and has some very fun holes. The south course the fairways are very narrow and on one hole you actually hit over the resort parking lot and water to get on the fairway. Voted in the top 100 golf courses... More
