You can find Breakaway Adventures office located near the Stikine Inn on the approach to the City Cruise Ship dock. There are three big blue advertisement banners that fly proudly from the front of our building. Find us and let us book you on a jetboat adventures of a lifetime to Anan Bear and Wildlife Observatory, LeConte Glacier, or one of our amazing Stikine River tours (Chief Shakes Adventures, John Muir Adventure, or Telegraph Creek). The Anan Bear tour was fantastic. One person drove the boat and there were two guides, men with bear spray and rifles, that escorted our group of 12 to and from the observatory platform. They were professional and informative and patient with our questions.

An outstanding tour of the LeConte Glacier. Great captain and guide who got us very close to the Glacier. We chose to take this tour instead of the trip offered by Seaborne. It was 30% less expensive than the Seaborne excursion and better---A smaller more intimate trip and we got closer to the Glacier. Highly recommend.

We rented e-bikes and had a wonderful time. The bikes were very high quality and had plenty of range to go all day. There is a bike path that leads right along the shoreline south from Wrangell. Highly recommend.

We went on the glacier experience, which was a 4 hour jet boat adventure to the southern most glacier in alaska. This was the best activity we have had in alaska. The crew was knowledgeable and skillful. We saw the glacier calving. I would recommend this company to anyone coming to alaska. The company is out of Wrangle, Alaska. For a great fun experience I highly recommend this company.

We rented E bikes and rode out to Rainbow falls. The ride along the water was amazing, as well as the hike up to the waterfall. This was our first experience on E bikes, and they were amazing to ride. Breakaway staff were very friendly and gave us good tips on where to go. Can't say enough good about this group.

The tour was all that we had hoped for. Eric, our guide has a wealth of experience and we explored several areas off the main tour course on the way to the lake and glacier. The tour is 4 hours and Eric timed it perfectly. We also needed to move up the standard departure time by 30 minutes in order to be sure to get back to our cruise ship on time and that was no problem. The tour was considerably less expensive than those booked through the cruise ship, but comparing the experience with passengers that booked through the ship, we definitely had an equivalent experience. I would definitely use Breakaway if we ever return to Wrangell and highly recommend them.

We went with Breakaway Adventures to the Anan Wildlife Observatory and had an outstanding experience. All Breakaway staff including the guide, assistant guide, and boat captain were professional and experienced with this trip. Our guide Marlon was very knowledgeable about wildlife and wilderness safety. We saw a many black bears, mamas and cubs, and one grizzly bear that day.

We booked a tour with Breakaway Adventures for a jet boat ride up the Stikine River to Chief Shakes Glacier. The trip was exceptional. We were on a small cruise ship that docked away from downtown but the boat captain was happy to come pick us up at enroute to the Stikine River. Our boat captain had been running the river for 30+ years and his knowledge and skill showed it. We enjoyed the trip up the Stikine River, our up close and personal view of a waterfall near Chief Shakes Glacier (he backed the boat right up to the falls) and a close up run along the face of the glacier. We saw several black bears and a juvenile moose as well. I would heartily recommend this trip and Breakaway. Note that the jetboats can be loud - especially if you are on the back deck while it is moving. If this bothers you perhaps bring ear plugs.

Eric and his crew couldn't have been better to work with. They provided water taxi service for us on a recent kayak trip and the trip couldn't have gone better from start to finish. They were excellent with pre-trip communication, responding to e-mails and phone calls within hours. They helped to get all the logistics of our trip sorted out before we arrived which allowed us to immediately depart on landing. Our shuttle driver even got us fresh king crab right off the boat to take to our cabin! All in all I couldn't recommend Breakaway highly enough for all your adventure needs in Wrangell.

My husband and I did both the Bears of Anan Experience and the LeConte Glacier tour last week; both exceeded our expectations. Spencer, who recently bought the company from the previous owner, piloted the boat on both tours. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and we felt we were in good hands. James was our guide at Anan (and came along with us to LeConte); he took great care in getting us from the boat landing to the viewing platform and, once we got there, was always available to answer questions, point things out to us, etc. If we ever visit Wrangell again, we will most definitely book another tour with Breakaway Adventures.

we are getting off Oceania Regatta today at 1, staying until 9,,,, do you have a short tour, say 2 hours or less that we may like??? we will get off the ship approx. 1 - 1:30 thanks !
