Fantastic tour! Cindy Abbott is an AMAZING women and provided such a great and inspiring talk prior to the sleddog tour! Her passion for sled dogs and the Iditarod really came through and gave all of us a new appreciation of the history and the danger of the Iditarod race.
The sleddogs were amazing to see and hear, and the tour was exciting. We drove over some moderatly rough terrain being pulled by the dogs while in a 4 wheeler. Listening to Cindy control the dogs and feeling the power of the dog team was one of the most amazing things on our trip. Of course, seeing the puppies was so cute- we got to spend a lot of time with them, and Vern made an apperance as well. He was so easy to talk to and willing to answer any questions we had.
Would highly recommend

One of the highlights of our Alaska trip. Our family (ages 10-76) learned so much about the Iditarod from Verne and Cindy, both of whom have participated in the race. A lunch was served before the tour, and was one of the best meals of our 12 days in Alaska. Being pulled by the sled dogs was amazing, feeling their power and enthusiasm for running. We had a chance to visit the new puppies, who were about six weeks old, and to see the care and respect that these dogs are given. We would totally recommend a visit if you have a chance!

If I can give this place 10 stars I would. Wow! Just Wow!

Dream a Dream Kennel is a dream and Cindy and Vern are the most fascinating people that I ever met. Vern (an ex-judge and a mayor of the town) is a wonderful, carrying, kind and welcoming host (we got to go to his own home and ate strawberries from his garden)

Visiting Dream a Dream (sounds like a Disney fairytale and it is) was the highlight of our Alaskan trip. Meeting the real Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race Mushers (Iditarod is an annual long-distance sled dog race) and spending 3 hours with Vern and Cindy Abbott and learning all about Cindy’s “journey” was such an inspiration.

Entire place is just magic and you think you are part of a great movie script. And you get to ride the dogs that participated in the race and to play with puppies and to eat lunch from their own garden as a bonus.

I was so impressed I didn’t want to leave. This is definitely the place to come back to and NOT TO BE MISSED if you visit Alaska. By the way I got Cindy’s book “Reaching Beyond the Clouds”and will read it for inspiration and will have to invite Cindy to give motivational speech to all my female friends.

We took a family trip to Alaska last week and happened upon Dream a Dream. We stayed one night at their fabulous B&B, got to pet all the sled dogs, and did a presentation and sled experience the next day. It was incredible! Vern, Cindy, and team are so great. They have so much experience with the Iditarod and taking care of those amazing dogs. We are learned so much and had a blast. Our kids (14 &12) loved it so much they begged me to go back an extra night, so we cut a day of hiking in Denali short and stayed here another night before coming home. Go! You will not regret it.

The 6 of us actually stayed at their B&B before the tour. Accommodations were actually way more than expected. Each of the 2 bedrooms had own bath, sitting room and kitchen; common sleeping area for extras had queen beds and plenty of space.
Cindy's dogsled tour was everything we expected! You can see her bond with the dogs. How can such small dogs have such power? It had rained so dogs were happy to run and sit in puddles during breaks. What an experience! Would definitely recommend it!

our tour stopped at this wonderful center. Vern and Cindy talked about their experience doing the Iditarod Race. We got do a quick run with the dogs and met their new batch of puppies. Dinner of salad and take and bake pizza from their local deli was delicious while we spent more time talking to both masters

We had the pleasure of touring Dream a Dream in late June. It was one of the highlights of our trip. Vern is a wonderful host. His passion for the dogs and sledding is contagious. We got to go on a training run that was fun and informative. We met Cindy who is an amazing woman having submitted Mount Everest and finished the Iditarod . We also may Sydney who is a young woman training for the Iditarod in 2025. Do the whole experience including lunch. It was an amazing experience we’ll never forget.

What a great experience to learn about the Iditarod and meet the awesome dogs.
Honestly, I wish I could be in Anchorage in March for the start of the race.
Verne Halter, Susan Whiton, and Cindy Abbott do a wonderful job of sharing their love for this sport and the dogs.
I highly recommend this tour.

What an experience! I had no idea we'd be learning so much about the Iditarod, but we did. These doggies love what they do, and they just love people. The staff is so friendly, inviting and makes you feel like you're part of the family. We arrived for the 9AM & donuts & coffee were waiting for us. We played with newborn puppies & the sled dogs as we waited for the rest of the group. You won't believe the power and excitement of these dogs! Such an amazing and inspiring experience. When visiting Anchorage, this is a MUST DO. It will be one of your favorite memories!
