About Crazy Rays Adventures
Are you looking for a fantastic time with your family and friends? Then look no further. Come join us for a day on the water that will have you bragging to your family and friends for years to come. A typical day on Crazy Rays Adventures begins at the dock in a beautiful little town called Whittier which is located approximately 45 minutes south of Alaska's big city, Anchorage. Whittier is known as the western gateway to Prince William Sound. The Sound boasts one of the largest Pink salmon runs in the world which provides for an overabundant food supply for the Sounds vast ecosystem. Our clients typically catch the 6:30am Tunnel from Bear Valley to Whittier (Appx 2.5 Miles through a Mountain) then meeting up with the Captain and Crew at the boat at about 7:00am. The trip is an all day charter (10-12 hrs)reaching deep into the outer limits of Prince William Sound where we will target Barn Door Halibut, Trophy Lingcod, and succulent Rockfish. When in season Salmon will be added to the menu as well, so long as time permits. The fishing isn't the only fun to be had for the day, make sure you bring your camera along as there is a great chance to catch a snapshot of Whales, Sea Otters, Puffins, Sea Lions, Seals, and much much more. On arrival back at the dock, join our Captain and Crew for group photo's of the Catch then while the crew fillets your catch you can grab dinner at one of the local restaurants that are within walking distance. If you would like your catch vacuum sealed and frozen, arrangements can be made at the local fish processor.

If you're looking for a charter to take you fishing in Whittier, go with Crazy Ray's. They're one of the best fishing charters I've ever been on. We went out with Captain Keith a couple weeks ago. It was a slow day, not a lot of bites. Captain Keith went above and beyond to make sure we were successful and brought fish back to the dock. If I'm ever back in Alaska, I'll be making a stop in Whittier to go back out with Crazy Ray's!

A top tier fishing charter out of Whittier Alaska. Experienced boat captains and deckhands, quality equipment, and comfortable accommodations made for a great fishing excursion in Prince William Sound. And mother nature burned off the clouds for an afternoon of sunshine and calm waters. Caught limits of halibut, and picked off a few cod and several species of rockfish. In all, a great day!!

I've done a number of fishing charters all over the country and can say definitively that Crazy Ray's is the best charter I've ever been on - from start to finish We had a group of 4 on Crazy's Rays Halibut charter in May 2021. We researched a number of charter companies in Homer, Seward, & Whittier and landed on Crazy Ray's due to other reviews. I had a ton of questions when booking and the company (specifically Brenda) was incredibly helpful. We went out on the 12-pack bout with Crazy Ray captaining and Jeremiah as deckhand. They were incredibly friendly, fun, and helpful throughout. Ray gave instructions on how to fish for each fish, and it was uncanny how the fishing worked out just like he said -- he clearly has amazing expertise and experience, They put us on a bunch of halibut so everyone on the boat got a big one (all 4 of us in our group got fish >40 lbs). Then we went over to a spot for Rockfish and everyone on the boat limited out within a hour. Ray and Jeremiah worked their tails off throughout. They filleted the halibut and pointed us in the direction of a solid processing shop. I would unequivocally recommend Crazy Ray's to anyone. The experience was worth every penny. Best charter any of us have ever been on -- hopefully we'll be back again!
