My brother and rented kayaks from Ryan for a four day trip to Blackstone Bay in Prince William Sound. We would have loved to have hired him to come with us but lacked the funds – nevertheless, he gave us excellent and detailed advice on excursions, gear, and general prep, and agreed to a half-day training so we would be... From glaciers calving to wildlife viewing to delicious food, Ryan is a perfect host for a memorable experience that will far exceed expectations. Our family of 4, including 12 and 13 years old children, will always remember this amazing experience!

We went on a full day glacier kayak excursion with Paddlers Realm. Group was our family of four, guide Brian and guide in training Alexa. We had a fantastic time. Weather was cloudy and it rained lightly on and off all day but no wind at all. Saw Northland, Beloit, and Blackstone glaciers. Scenery was awesome. Equipment provided made trip... More

We wanted to go kayaking to a more remote section of Prince William Sound, and see wildlife and glaciers, and Ryan knew just how to help us do that. Not only is he a world class guide, he is also just a really nice person who was a pleasure to spend time with. We had a fantastic trip!

My wife and I did a 2 day trip to Blackstone Bay with Paddlers Realm, guided by Brian. My wife is a beginner paddler and quite afraid of deep/rough water etc. I am an experienced paddler having done many multi-day expeditions. Ryan and Brian worked closely with both me and my wife to ensure we were both accommodated on the... More

My wife and I didn't have any real experience with Kayaking so we decided to arrange for lessons with Ryan through the recommendation of a friend. The class was a one day class and it was excellent. He is a great instructor, both friendly and very knowledgeable. You can tell he has a passion for this! The class he taught... More

Brian and Ryan were amazing leading up to the trip accurately preparing is and day of. They prepared for everything! So hospitable and knowledgable about the area. Novice kayakers felt good being with Brian and experienced kayakers had fun. Lunch was amazing as was the entire tour route. Highly recommend.

I've worked with Ryan to complete my American Canoe Guide certification as well as taken many other refresher courses from him. He is an excellent instructor - demonstrating incredible skill, patience and good humour throughout the courses. Ryan displayed widespread knowledge from rescue scenarios to refining paddle strokes to the local fauna and flora. He is impressive with his ability... More
