Great activity for adults and kids. Beware of the long travel times: 2 hours in bus and 2 hours in boat from Port Ghalib. Each way.
But the snorkeling with the dolphins is extraordinary when on the surface or when they are a few m below you.
The Red Sea was a rough ride and many people were sick.
Lunch on board is nothing special.

Orca Dive Centre at Wadi Lahmy Azur invited me for a one day trip at the dolphin house at Sataya Reef... It was beyond amazing I can't find words to express how beautiful it was. Worth visiting.

Wonderful experience. We saw a lot of dolphins , we enjoyed that trip. You have to go there for sure, even is a little bit far. You cannot compare with anything that feeling to be near a wild dolphin

This is a full day excursion from Port Ghalib. We were picked up at 5:30am and travelled 2.5 hours by coach to Hamata.
We then sailed for approximately 2 hrs to Sataya Dolphin House on a lovely boat, ‘Christian’. This was the best part of the day.
The snorkelling experience with the dolphins was bizarre. There were lots of other boats and swimmers there at the same time - I can’t imagine what it must be like at the height of summer! We saw about 12 dolphins a swimming in two pods of 6 but we couldn’t get up close to them as they swam away from us and the speed boats trying to locate them. This seemed a bit silly so we swam about for a little while in the beautifully clear sea and then returned to the boat.
We had a pleasant journey to another reef before starting our 2 hour journey back to port.
We then travelled for approximately 3 hours by bus back to our hotel.
All in all, this was a nice boat trip but we could have spent more time on a boat had we been on a day trip from Port Ghalib.

I didn’t feel good about the whole experience. First so many boats and hundreds of tourists on same day. Second if we are lucky to encounter dolphins there will be literally a frenzy people screaming splashing water zodiacs hunting the poor dolphins and definitely they escape in less than seconds (dolphins will always be faster than people and zodiacs combined) I dont really know why we were chasing them and asked by tour guides to swim fastly as you will be left behind in the middle of no where with no one missing you (you are your own responsibility) I was like in a marathon so stressful situation zero fun or mindfulness of the experience you get a second or two with dolphins before they run for their lives from the screaming crowds (from far deep dont expect a close encounter THEY ARE SCARED). Not to mention the house reef is worthless. I am expecting sataya reef to be devoid of dolphins in very few years same as neighbouring samadai reef. This is just Sad. You better off take a realxing enjoyable tour somewhere else in the vast great sea to avoid the disappointment ( it’s totally not suitable for kids). I had to put this review because I really had low expectations from this trip but it turned even worse than I thought.

Dolphins are beautiful animals and free swimming with them must be a wonderful experience. But this is not the case here. Several groups of tourists arrive in the same morning time to the islands. The guides begin to chase dolphins in small boats in circles, who are constantly fleeing and stressed. Whenever they float around your boat, you sink into the water to see them for a few moments. And then you can everyone tell that you have seen the dolphin. And that's what's all about. So yes, you will see a dolphin, but the execution and stress of these animals is so stupid that I sincerely wish the dolphins leave this place in a short time. If the Egyptian idiots were thinking at least a bit, the groups might arrive in 20min intervals to the place and don't chase the dolphins. Then there would be a chance that you swim freely with dolphins who are curious and playful and experience would be totaly different. Please don't be stupid and don't ask simply: Have you seen doplhin? Yes? All good. Because the execution of the whole trip is terrible.

We went on this trip as a family of four after reading the excellent reviews and on recommendations of various people. But I honestly have to say it was a very sad experience.
After 90 minutes on a bus and then 2 hours on a boat, we finally arrived at Sataya reef ready to swim with dolphins. However, I think the term swimming with dolphins is a bit misleading.
On arrival there were about 8 late dive boats there, all with an average of about 40-50 people on board. You put on you snorkelling gear, get squeezed onto a zodiac, a rigid inflatable motor boat, with too many people and chase a pod of dolphins along about 10 other zodiacs. When close enough to the dolphins, you get told to jump (all at once) and you are trying to keep up with the dolphins while they are desperately trying to get away, chased by about 200-300 people in the water. Back on the zodiac, and chase again. Three times in total. Then back on the main boat, lunch, another snorkel somewhere else for about 30 minutes and then 3.5 hours back again. This experience sets you back about 70 Euros per person.
If you are thinking about doing this trip, don't. It is not a nice experience, and you get about 45 minutes in and out of the water with them for a 7 hour round trip. Not worth it.

This place is unbelievable. Snorkeling with dolphins in the wild is something I never expected to do but there were hundreds (seriously) her it's a good couple of hours on the boat from the marina and it was 2 and a half hours from my hotel to the marina so a long day but worth every second of travel for that experience.

This Trip is an extraordinary Trip you will be over the moon

It took us 2 hrs by Bus then 2.5 hrs by boat to reach the lagnoona where the dolphins are living

And then they take us by a zodiac and throw us in the middle of the dolphins where we find over than 70-100 dolphins in the water playing and swimming around you

They are lovely creatures

Snorkelling was dangerousness. Small inflatable boats overloaded with people chasing Dolphins. No control over who was in the water or who was on boats.
Actual big boat was ok and food was good.
But avoid this firm if you value safety. If you complain the dive master becomes aggressive.
